„It was July 4th weekend and my goal was to find a place AWAY from crowds and fireworks as my dog is petrified of the fireworks. This location met that goal perfectly -- not a pop to be heard! It's also quite close to The Buckeye Trail which we enjoyed hiking on and a wonderful little diner with local, farm-raised meats, produce and baked goods. Great little gem in a beautiful area.“

„My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, celebrating our 16th anniversary. We were a little disappointed. This is the fist time ever that we couldn't wait to leave. The description is pretty accurate but leaves out a few things. It doesn't have city water (which is fine but there's a sign above the kitchen sink that says its not drinkable) and in their welcome book it said they have drinkable water delivered. However they didn't say where it was. The view was beautiful!!! A flood had washed up ...

„We were looking for a place to relax after a couple of long hikes at burr oak. When you first step in front of the door, you smell mustiness. Its even more so when you open the door. We smelled the linens on the beds and picked the one that didnt smell as musty. Even bath towels had a musty odor. Couldnt find the fridge and host told us it was under the stove. Found it after figuring out how to open it. Its a dorm sized fridge, which would have been fine, but it was half a block of solid ice ...

„The cabin was clean and well maintained. Mike, the host, was very accommodating on a couple small issues upon arrival. The hot tub was excellent. Will definitely return for another trip to Burr Oak state park.“

„You could take the kiddos with you there's plenty of room inside and outside where they can play and there's a few owls that are hanging out around the place and there's a few turkeys out there as well its a nice quiet place once the sun goes down and what few cars that go past the place are in for the night it's super quite out there “

„In all the property was nice. I had to buy new pans because the old ones had teflon chips in it. I left the new pans for the next user. The Hot Tub was excellent. The space is open floor, they had blinds on the window but not the front door or back door, no way to cover for night when sleeping. It was really close to the park for trails and swimming.“

„What a great house and property. We were visiting the Caldwell area for a birthday party and reunion. This house fit our needs just right. Being dog friendly is a huge plus, as my dog enjoyed the wide open spaces of the yard and surrounding areas. We had a busy schedule outside the house so we didn’t get to use much of it, but what we did use was highly functional. The house is rustic, but in a charming way. I’d stay again.“
