„Obwohl das BW direkt am Interstate 10 liegt, war im Zimmer kein Verkehrslärm zu hören. Beim Check-in wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt. Die Qualität des kostenlos angebotenen Frühstücks war durchaus ok. Gebäude und Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen. Es ist zwar optisch sauber, aber unter der Farbe auf Wänden und Türen schaute ein renovierungsbedürftige Substanz hervor. Die Zimmereinrichtung war absolut veraltet. Die Position des Schreibtisches direkt neben der zugigen Klimaanlage war ...

„Our stay was good. We stayed in room number four. There was a little bit of paint peeling around the door frame of the shower. Other than that, the paint was great. It smelt clean when we went in, however, whenever I took off my shoes, I could feel dust on my feet and that drives me crazy and why I rated the cleanliness as a three. It was easy to check in. And it was very quiet people the first night we were the only people on the property. It was a nice stay.“

„This is a very clean and comfortable place at a great price point. The best thing is the really sweet couple running the place. It's an old property but for the price it is safe, clean and what you need for a couple good nights of sleep. I came here for a marathon in Shiner so it was a good location. It's near HEB and a few interesting towns like Luling and Gonzalez on the fringe of hill country. “

„The room was exactly as pictured. The room was very clean. The bedding was soft and smelt and felt clean. The bed was comfortable considering we stayed away from home. The outside of the hotel looks run down; however, everything else was great. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. I would stay there again.“

„I have stayed at the property before. It seems like they just do not clean very well. There was only 1 coffee pack and it was decaf. The property needs to be repaired in many areas. A/C cooled, but cycled off often, making the room uncomfortable during the night. No hot water in the shower.“

„Check is 2pm. I got there a few minutes early and was allowed to check in early. Room was spacious and cleaner than i thought it would be. Hotel is convenient to a pretty good local restaurant and a Pilot truck stop. “

„Wonderful little one bedroom casita. The outside deck was a nice space to relax and enjoy the Texas evening. The bed is hands down the most comfortable I've ever slept in! Kitchen is nicely appointed and the casita has a great location. Nice little coffee shop right down the block. We hope to return again!“

„I was celebrating my 66th birthday on August 9th and although I have always lived in Texas, I had never visited the Spoetzel brewery in Shiner. So our stop in Shiner was the first two nights of my celebration before heading to Austin.The Kuby House was a perfect spot to enjoy our time in Shiner. There was even a set of dominoes! The spirit of Kuby probably enjoyed hearing the rattle of dominoes in his old hangout.Thanks for a great time in Shiner Tx!“

„We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock. The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest.“
