We had an excellant stay, but the website claimed there were DVD players available. There were 4 there to borrow. I brought 4 DVD'S along, but the TV was only HDMI and all the players were RGB. Completely incompatible. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was lacking. The stream was not as big as my little finger. It was a cheap grade faucet that didn't have a removable filter on it to be able to clean out all the sediment. The bathtub and kitchen facets had wonderful pressure. The bathroom sink faucet needs to be replaced. These are very minor problems and we were impressed with everything else. I think we found a new hotel to use when we stay in York.

While the staff was pleasent and professional our room had a strong odor of stale cigarette smoke, one of the televisions was not operational and the bedding had an unpleasant bodily odor. The location is not terrible, although the entranelce to the parking lot is easily missed. We will never book this hotel again.

Couldnt sleep
Rooms were outdated, broken things and rusty, dirty, curtains couldn't be pulled shut and high beam parking lot lights from property next door shined in room all night, room was lit up all night couldn't sleep. Cracked sink, dirty backsppash, dirty bathroom pubes and hair on floor, trash bags in hallways made stale air reak of trash.

I liked the quietness of the hotel and the cleanliness of the hotel room. Everything seemed new clean and neat. The staff was also very helpful when I locked myself out and also gave explanation regarding a safety issue.

The staff was very friendly! However the shelves in the bathroom looked as if they had not been dusted ever. I was woken up both nights around 3am by people in front of the hotel yelling and making so much noise. I would not stay there again.

Very outdated hotel room. The bathroom had rust, stains on the walls and tub. Tub was also cracked. The sheets and towels were yellow. Staff members were unprofessional. Would not recommend, would not stay here again.

Clean, Spacious, Excellent staff. 5 stars IMO.
My family of four needed someplace to stay for multiple days due to storm and power outage. We chose Candlewood for its suites with separate bedroom to accommodate our travel crib and have enough space for two adults to comfortably work during the days. The kitchen was also surprisingly spacious, and the staff we very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend a stay here, especially in one off the 1 bedroom suites if traveling with a family.

We stayed for 3 nights, but didn't have maid service for any of our stay. Not sure why. Didn't see maids at all during our stay. Maybe we had to request them. The main negative is that the heater/AC unit under the window blows directly on the person sleeping nearest it, about two feet away. Should have a way to redirect the air. Tried to watch TV, but many of the channels kept fizzing out, with a not great picture. Beds were very comfortable. Room was clean.

We were staying in York for a soccer tournament and this hotel was suggested for the weekend. The first room we checked into had an open window which we realized was because the room smelled like smoke. After telling the front desk they moved us to another room that smelled clean but did not look like it. After my husband stepped in something slimy on the carpet we decided we would be moving to another hotel for the rest of the weekend. There are cheaper nicer hotels in the area. We ended up staying at the Yorktowne Tapestry which we was much much nicer and less expensive.

Disappointed ☹️
First off, we get in our room and it’s a queen studio not what I asked for I asked for a king studio. My husband is tall second, the room smells like dog and dirty feet, so they gave us a bottle of Febreze to cover it up, but we still smelled the dog, so then the remote batteries needed changed so we had to go clear downstairs again, and those batteries that was in it you could tell a dog or something dented in each battery, and the lamp didn’t work next to the couch and oh, the couch was very hard to sit in It’s too old, third, it was dirty. There’s something all over the big picture at the bottom of the frame that looks gross. There’s stuff on the wall in the bathroom, the grout looks dirty, the tub looks dirty on the bottom. Forth, there was arguing next door and they were very loud. We asked about the constant noise to no avail…We could smell pot smoke and we smelled the pot smoke this morning, and they kept slamming the door. fifth, there’s no coffee maker, so the lady at the front desk said she would help get us one she never did… Needless to say anyone that sees this that thinking about getting a hotel room I hope you will not because I am sure you will be disappointed…

Our room door had no security lock. It had been broken off, screw holes remained and painted over. Felt unsafe at night. We had to beg to get an iron and there was no hairdryer. The iron: we were told they were on order and they couldn't borrow from another room because they were going to be "full tonight". So we didn't rate an iron but other guests did? It was rude but ultimately we got the iron and returned it promptly for the "other" guests. We were hell bent to have a good time and We had an excellent experience with "Letti". She made our stay wonderful. Such a nice young woman and she made us feel welcome and special. Do what you can to keep her. She was the best part of our stay.

No one to handle loud guests when we NEEDED sleep.
Everything started out great. We met our friends down at the pool and she ran and got new towels for us all. Since there were no clean towels but a full bin of wet towels. They refused to give us enough because they assumed she was sneaking people in but we were all paying guests. Then late at night around 12 the guests above us were running around impinge and screaming. We tried to call front desk even went down to them no one and no answer. We had to hit the ceiling to make them stop. By sometime after 1 we were able to sleep only to have to wake up at 5:30. Also after we checked in, there were kids running around knocking on doors but no one addressed that either.
