the motel is across the street from the ocean with a fantastic view. Unfortunately, the weather was foggy and overcast so no view of the sunrise. The motel is an older building but it looked as though it was recently painted. It included a small kitchenette with a small refrigerator and microwave and drip coffee pot with packets of coffee. The king bed was comfortable but no extra bedding. The bathroom needs updating and could have been cleaner. The room was reasonably priced for the area and with no added on charges unless you smoked in the room they reserved the right to charge your credit card $250. We stayed on the first floor and could hear footsteps upstairs moving around on the second floor. I would not stay there in the future due to the bathrooms condition. This motel needs a total overhaul and a pool would be a nice addition.

Location, location, location! Sunrise Motel is directly across the street from the ocean on Long Sands in York, ME. Although not directly on the beach, it is only a few minutes walk to a small beach area at low tide. The motel itself is a bit older but extremely clean and comfortable and the staff I met were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the second or third floors for the best views of the ocean as the first floor overlooks the parking area. (Stairs only; no elevator.) Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.

CLEAN AND NICE ROOMS
The "Sunrise Motel" is very nice. We had stayed there before and liked it. One little thing that was not in our room was a clock radio but other then that it was very nice. We`d stay there again. Mike and Annette from VT.

Would stay here again.
The hotel is right off the road which is next to the shore line. We had a nice view from our room of the ocean. When the tide was down, we would explore the rocky beach to find snails, crabs, and even hermit crabs. We had a large comfy bed with plenty of space for moving about the room. We would stay here again.

Location Location Location! As its name implies, if you get up early enough you can watch the Sun rise above the ocean. Spectacular view and a 2 minute walk across Long Sands Rd to the beach wall. Balconies on all 3 floors to sit and watch the tide.

Great ocean view room, well supplied room, fast check in. The bed was comfortable too. The only thing that needed more attention was the bathroom mirror and sink faucet had spots on them, not wiped clean, an oversight by housekeeping. But i would stay again good nightly rates will make a return customer.

A great location right across the street from the water/beach. Great location to watch the sunrise over the water. Nice walking along the beach and a short drive to other great sites. Great place to stop on your way to northern Maine.

The location of this “ throw back in time” motel was full of charm with an uninterrupted view of Maine’s lovely coastline and Nubble lighthouse. The manager was very polite and helpful. A very beachy experience.

We enjoyed the view and the office staff. We had a room that hasn’t been updated yet. It was very clean; however, definitely needs updates. I felt bad for the office staff as they are doubling or tripling up and doing laundry, making beds and cleaning due to not being able to get anyone to work. I was told they’ve been working 10-12 hour days all summer. My heart broke for them. They are doing their best. I’d hate to see the hotel get a bad rap because it was definitely clean and you cannot beat the view or the proximity to restaurants. You can walk to so much from there since the new sidewalks and sea wall projects have been completed. We love York and Long Sands Beach. Been going there for over 15 years and will definitely be back!
