Serenity Shores provided a very comfortable home for our Lake Skegemog week. Adequate kitchen, plenty of living space, both inside and outside, comfortable beds, and a variety of entertainment diversions (pool table, arcade game, Pac-Man game, Disney puppet show stage, beach toys, beach towels, and bubbles). Great weather allowed for outside dining on a huge table/chairs. And beautiful sunsets were viewed from the deck and dock. The location is convenient to fruit stands, Meijer’s, and not far from Traverse City and Elk Rapids.

The full house is really nice and familial. We enjoyed all the games and pool table. The kitchen is well equipped.

This property has it all for a magical “up north” lake vacation! The hosts were great and thought of so many details to accommodate their guests, such as a reverse osmosis water purifier, plenty of seating, towels, linens, throw blankets, games, outdoor beach toys and so much more. The location couldn’t be a more perfect location on the chain of lakes. We were able to rent a pontoon and dock it at the property for a multi-day rental which allowed us to explore the surrounding lakes as well. The sandy beach was perfect for swimming when we stayed at the property and was truly a quiet peaceful setting. The Pac-Man arcade game and pinball machine were a huge hit with our group! I would definitely come back, especially to make up for the few days we couldn’t get outdoors as much as we would’ve liked due to the intense wildfire smoke. Highly recommend Serenity Shores on Lake Skegemog!

Nice sized house for a big family (we had 2 adults, 5 teens and a toddler and fit well). The house had older amenities (bathroom, kitchen, furniture, carpet, grill) but that was fine with us (and in some was preferred so we didn’t have to worry about being overly tidy). It was surely whimsical and layout was unique. The price seemed steep but then again we had a hard time finding anything big enough for us near torch lake, so maybe price was correctly aligned to the market). The backyard is peaceful and beautiful and we appreciated that there were canoes, life jackets, and a fire pit. Our college aged sons were looking forward to fishing but had zero luck on Skegmog (perhaps bad timing or not the right equipment). Loved being close to Torch Lake (we rented pontoons on two separate days - it’s quite a long boat ride from the house to Torch so unless doing a multi day rental you are best off renting a boat launching on Torch). The house has billiards, Pac-Man, and several other fun games which were great to have on rainy days and in the evenings after a long day outside. Kitchen was well equipped (small dishwasher, so hand washed most). We would definitely come back!
