Jay Peak 3 Meilen - Abgelegen mit spektakulärer Aussicht!

  • Nestled between Little Jay, Big Jay, Little Jay, Gilpin Mountain, Domey's Dome and Buchanan Mountain is our comfortable mountain home. You'll have the entire first floor to yourselves, with a private entrance and covered patio. We live on the top two floors. Large windows throughout the apartment frame magnificent mountain views (see photos).

    The bedroom has a full-over-full bunk bed (sleeps 4). Two queen-size Murphy beds are in separate rooms at opposite ends of the apartment. Guests often comment on how nicely the three sleeping areas are separated for privacy. The apartment also has a full kitchen, cozy gas stove, and washer and dryer.

    Big windows frame the mountains from the living room, bedroom and dining area, even when it’s cloudy and snowing. Jay Brook’s relaxing sound can be heard from your covered patio. The starry skies are amazing to view while sitting by the fire pit. Dry firewood is provided.

    Jay Peak gets more snow than any other New England ski resort, and we're right here in the same snow pocket. Forecasts often underestimate our snowfall.

    We’re just off Mountain Road (VT 242), surrounded by mountains and woods. Streams on each side of the property feed Jay Brook just below the houses. The Main House and Guest House are the only two houses here, with nothing around them but woods and the brook. Days bring beautiful mountain views, nights bring shimmering stars and quiet, and day or night you’ll hear the soft sound of Jay Brook.

    Famous trails from the house:
    • Catamount Trail for backcountry and nordic skiing
    • Long Trail for hiking

    Many more skiing and hiking trails are accessible directly from the house or a short drive away. A guidebook to hiking trails, backcountry skiing, swimming holes, shopping and attractions, with travel distances, is included. Backcountry guiding is available. Danny is happy to talk through your options.

    It's a 3-mile, 5-minute drive to Jay Peak Ski Resort and Pump House Indoor Waterpark.

Easy check in/check out. Very beautiful views. Stayed to Ski at nearby Jay Peak so spent most our time on the mountain but this place was a nice quiet spot for a nearby place to crash after a full day of skiing.

Nice cabin nestled in the woods. Spacious and warm. Last minute booking to be close to Jay Peak. A tree fell across the driveway the morning of departure and Danny, the host, moved it quickly with his tractor. Rosie the dog was a nice surprise visitor as well.

Very nice stay

Beautiful place to stay. Views are incredible. Danny was very kind and accommodating. So close to the jay’s peak water park which was the primary reason for our visit. Will definitely book again next time we are headed to the area.

A night with my boys

The host and staff were extremely accommodating in getting my bags in while I needed to get out on an adventure. The place was charming and comfortable. We all had a great time and deep rest. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful location and great host!

Danny's property is absolutely gorgeous, and he was a great host! My boyfriend and I, along with a few of our friends stayed here for a weekend of skiing at Jay Peak and it was the perfect spot to come back to after a day of skiing. Danny even helped dig us out of a snow bank when we were on our way back one of the days the weather was bad!We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

A private respite

As a landing pad for a ski weekend at Jay Peak, it would be hard to do much better. Good access, friendly host and everything you could need to recharge to do it again tomorrow. Would do it again.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

Danny was a perfect host. We had a wonderful stay at his place and felt cozy and comfortable during our stay. His dogs were friendly and enjoyed playtime with our pups. We will absolutely look to stay with Danny again when we go back to Jay Peak. His place is perfect for couples, small groups of friends or family and would be great in any season. Super close 3 mile drive to Jay Peak base via the main road.

Beautiful property

Gorgeous location and property. Host was very accommodating!! The basement apartment style rental was nice. We would recommend heating up the rental before guest arrive in winter (didn’t get warm until 3am our first night) and it was very dusty on all surfaces in the kitchen as they informed us that they just made repairs. Overall sufficient but photos could be better in the advertisement.

Outstanding location and Host!

We stayed here for our sons hockey tournament. We needed a pet friendly option which led us here, and what a find. There are two properties- we stayed in the one on the main floor of the hosts house. Two queens, full sized bunks, great kitchen and sitting area for breakfast. Views from the living room area are unbelievable. The host was great. I Would definitely recommend and stay again. You won’t find many, if any, places close to Jay Peak- I think my average drive to the rink was 8 minutes, that is set in such a beautiful wilderness setting all on its own.

Not what we expected

If your planning to get away for a quiet stay this is not the place. The owners occupy the top level and go about their day as normal to include having a gathering while we were there. I’m a federal police officer and worked everyday for 14 weeks straight until our stay the last thing I wanted was be around people. The scenic views are beautiful.
