„After nearly two weeks in B&Bs it was really wonderful to stay in Garden Cottage for 6 days. It is a very well equipped house with all you need and more. The cottage has enough space to live in, a nice little private garden, a calm and beautiful surrounding. And...what is more important than all this, the owners Colin and Lesley are very nice and helpful people. We liked the little chats and friendly suggestions. We really recommend this cottage in the calm region of the Lake District.“

„We weren't familiar with the area but chose the property for size and facilities. The property was really warm, comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Plenty of kitchen equipment for us to cook for 19. The grounds were lovely. A good base for a day out in the lakes too. Highly recommended!“

„This is a great apartment - it has a great location within 5 minutes walk of the centre of Keswick super handy access to Booths Supermarket and great views to the North looking at Skidaw and its approaches. Inside it is comfortable and has everything that you need for your stay - all kitchen and laundry is as expected and bed linen plus bath and hand towels were provided for each guest. Will absolutely stay again.“

Ein Auto ist hier nach unserer Auffassung allerdings unverzichtbar. Die Gastgeber stehen immer für alle Fragen zur Verfügung und geben nützliche Tipps für Ausflüge, Pubs und Restaurants.“

Plenty plates/cutlery etc in the kitchen. Small point was that the oven took a very long time to cook anything but otherwise all good. We would come back.“

My wife has limited mobility and was able to move around the property using sticks and a walker with no issues. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower which she could easily use with a shower seat as she was able to walk right up with the walker.
