The house is really cosy and quirky, with twinkly lights that give it a lovely ambiance. The room itself was spacious, clean and cosy, with a very comfortable bed. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be stay again“
„We had the hayloft that could sleep 3 but was a win for us as a couple. It was in a out building, with easy access to the garden, bar and dining areas, but was a bit difficult to get suitcases over the gravel pathway. Very quiet, lots of space and windows to open. The restaurant meal and breakfast was fabulous.“

Lighting rather dim: bathroom possibly requires new fluorescent bulb: in bedroom, one of the three bulbs u/s so needs replscing and LHS bedside light bulb was quite dusty. Ligting ptroblem reported to management who took note and said they would sort asap.

Die laute Lüftung der Küche und ein Scheinwerfer, der direkt ins Zimmer geleuchtet hat, waren ziemlich störend. Essen gab es am Tag unserer Übernachtung leider für uns nicht, da eine lokale Veranstaltung stattfand.
Man sollte auch einplanen, dass die Geschäfte im Ort (bis auf den Supermarkt) zwischen 16 und 18 Uhr schließen.“

The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.“
