No Washer and Dryer? Indeed, there is. As stated, the Cottage has it's own Laundry Room (next door) ... 3 steps away from the Cottage. Helpful hints inside of the Cottage, states: Use Key with Purple Top to open Laundry room. I guess you did not read that. Communication between myself and guests are sooo important. So easy to text or phone me to ask "ANY" questions. Other than missing the Laundry Room, I am so happy you had a GOOD stay. Have a GOOD Rest of the Summer!

It was lovely hosting you and Grandchildren and I am happy that all of you were able to do all you came to do. Not being able to plug in your three (3) prong power cord? I have no idea as to why not? Three prong plugs are throughout the Cottage. Not remembering a Laundry? As stated in the "Welcome Guide" ... Full Laundry facility (Washer/Dryer/Laundry Basket/Detergent/Dryer Sheets and more are only a step away (next door). Remember, I explained the use of the key with the Purple Top? Also, I am always available to my Guests. A simple text or phone call will easily get my attention. God Bless!

Also, thanks for mentioning our space being super clean. There is always one or two, who does not completely tell the truth and say our place is unclean. Uncleaniness will NEVER happen on my watch. Very surprised at your review/comments about A/C. Mold? Nope! We take special care in scrubbing down our shower and I personally clean our A/C's. Therefore, I know for a fact ... NO MOLD! Secondly, as you stated ... YOU were aware of us supplying a very comfortable AERO Mattress with its own pump (no complaints from previous guests), therefore, I do not know where you wanted to go with this comment. Also, not suited for 4? What does our description say? Perfectly suited for 2 and I reached out to you beforehand letting you know that we can accommodate 4, but it would be tight! Let's just say, our AirBnB didn't suit your needs, but has for many others. Wishing you the best! First off, I would like to THANK YOU for your feedback on your visit to the Cottage. We can only address specific issues brought to our attention by our guests. So, again, we thank you. We take great pride in hosting and take feedback like yours very seriously. Also, I see that the Cottage is always well maintained, making sure it is cleaned thoroughly after each guest checks out. We go as far as wiping down (sanitizing) remotes; handrails; etc. In closing, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

It was a pleasure having you and hubby stay with us. Your "communication" was great and I am also glad you had good nights of rest. You were the perfect guests and left the Cottage in great shape. Applause!

All I can say is "Wow"! This is a very disappointing review. If you look at the review below this one, "Frank", you will see that I work with our guests and make sure they are happy. Secondly, I cannot be responsible for any guest that does not read the description, fully. For now, there is a pop-up trundle, which is very comfortable. You simply pull out the pop-up and it connects with the stationery part of the bed. Two twin mattresses side by side = King bed. I KNOW how important it is to get a GOODNIGHT's sleep. This is why we purchased this particular bed. These guests arrived LATE and was probably in a grouchy mood and didn't even "try" the bed. Instead of them contacting me (I would have gladly assisted) to ease any concerns, they immediately left. They sent me a message saying they had departed. I contacted them and did indeed offer a refund. I did not hear back. I called VRBO and explained what had happened, so this could be documented. I guess their retaliation to me was to leave the HEAT ON so high that it set the SMOKE DETECTOR off. I am not angry at them. I just said to myself that there are some people that a host simply cannot work with. In summary ... we take any feedback seriously and are always looking for ways to improve a guests' stay. Even though there is NOTHING wrong with the current bed, we had on order for two months, a new bed (we are very excited about this one). It's very expensive Queen size 1-2-3 sofa with the best mattress. I tested it several times, along with others and we all agree, all should have a great night's sleep and ... it is so easy to convert into a bed. Communication is always key to any host. Again, we take hosting seriously. This is why we are a PREMIER HOST and have been hosting for about 10+ years. If you are not happy. We are not happy!

It would nice to work with you and even though you had more people that the Cottage could accommodate, in the end, you communicated and we worked out something we ended up something that would appease you. This is what I do as a HOST. If my guests are not happy. I'm not happy. Communication is the KEY!

Hmmm... it's a full size kitchen and as you mentioned, it has every necessary appliance, including a drop-leaf table and chairs. It was nice hosting the two of you. Not sure what to make of the parallel parking comment. Everywhere in Northern Virginia, one must parallel park. I grew up in NYC, so parallel parking to me is second nature :) Glad to assist with the bed and anything else my visitors need.

It always a pleasure to host nice/appreciative guests. The Day bed is actually a King. We also provide an extra overlay (padding) for the bed to make it even more comfortable, for our guests. Our Cottage was built in 1937 and still maintains a lot of its original charm, i.e., steps, etc. However, the Cottage has been fully updated. There is a set of steps that leads down to the kitchen and patio areas, 'with handrails' and 'grippers' on the steps. The illusion of them being steep is merely the high ceiling in the area of the steps, which provides head room when descending. Our Cottage is unique and historical. Some things we would change, others we keep to maintain its charm. Thanks for providing your good tips about traveling around the area. You did more than I have done in the short while you were here :) Thanks again for being good guests.
