„From the time we tried to check-in the woman that greeted us was aggressive and told us to wait in the waiting lounge. Then we could check-in Declan told us that we needed to pay for our accommodation but when I told that I had paid he took our documents and did not return them. We had a two stay and consequently left without documents. On contacting the hotel we were told the only wat to retrieve our was to send a self-envelope and they would send them to us. That wasn't suitable in the frame ...

„Very nice and helpful staff. A parking garage and some shops and restaurants were in immediate vicinity. The hotel is 20-25mins walking distance from Halifax train station, be advised though that the entire walk is uphill since the station is the lowest point of the city. The city itself is very accessible from the hotel with most shops and locations just a few minutes away. Very decently sized rooms with room for your luggage without feeling cramped in.“

"Mitten in Harrogate, direkt gegenüber von Bettys Tea Rooms — die Lage ist kaum zu toppen. Das viktorianische Gebäude hat echten Charakter, die Bar lädt zum Verweilen ein, und die Zimmer sind wirklich schön. Dass wir beim Check-in noch ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen haben, hat den Aufenthalt perfekt abgerundet. Sehr gerne wieder!"

"I expect more from a 4 star hotel. The room was lovely and spacious however confetti which was all over the grounds was also in our room. There are 3 lifts one is staff only, one is out of order which according to a frequent guest has been the case for 2 years!! Then they serviced the 3rd lift, leaving my 84 year old parents to negotiate very old wonky stairs, not ideal! We ate in the bar one night because i have my dog with me and the area seemed dated and unloved. The food was nice if served in a lack luster way. Again with breakfast the food was great but I can't imagine sitting in the bar to eat, the buffet is so far away my food would have been cold before I got to the table!! So we took it in turn to eat so one of us could stay with the dog. There is a small area to the left as you enter which could be used as a dog friendly area.... well away from the buffet, I see that often in other restaurants and hotels! The spa area was very pleasant and a welcome break to relax on our long journey. Also the location and grounds were lovely, sitting on the terrace in the early morning sun and quiet was also a highlight. In summary dated and unloved but a perfectly quiet and relaxing break from a long journey."
