Wir laden Sie ein, unser Gast in unserem Haus am Meer mit 1 Schlafzimmer und 1 Bad zu sein.

Im Wohnzimmer befindet sich eine Klimaanlage, um die heißen Sommertage abzukühlen.

Wir haben gerade einige brandneue Wohnzimmermöbel eingebaut, darunter ein neues Queen-Schlafsofa (Fotos wurden vor der neuen Couch aufgenommen), sodass unsere Wohnung jetzt bequem Platz für bis zu 4 Personen bietet. Das Wohnzimmer ist mit einem neuen Couchtisch und Beistelltischen, einem Drehsessel, einem großen Flachbild-Smart-TV, einer DVD-Bibliothek, Büchern, Spielen und einem Fernglas zum Beobachten von Schildkröten, Walen und anderen Meeresbewohnern ausgestattet.

Die Veranda ist mit einem hohen Tisch und Hochstühlen ausgestattet, um das Leben im Freien auf Maui zu genießen.

Wir haben die Küche mit allem ausgestattet, was Sie für ein Familienessen benötigen. Wir stellen Ihnen sogar ein BBQ-Grill-Set zur Verfügung, damit Sie am nur wenige Schritte entfernten Strand grillen können. Oder grillen Sie im Park, der weniger als 5 Gehminuten entfernt ist. Oder genießen Sie die Grills aus Edelstahl am Pool.

Wir haben Liegestühle, Strandtücher und einen Kühler für Sie, während Sie bei uns bleiben.

Für Ihre Bequemlichkeit haben wir eine Waschmaschine / Trockner in der Einheit.

Wir bieten frische Bettwäsche und Handtücher. Wir sind ein Zuhause, kein Hotel, daher bieten wir keinen kostenlosen Wäscheservice an. Für Ihre längeren Aufenthalte können wir gegen Aufpreis einen Reinigungsservice bereitstellen.

Unsere Wohnung verfügt über einen ausgewiesenen Parkplatz (kostenlose Parkplätze).

Perfekte Wohnung direkt am Meer
Die Wohnung liegt direkt am Meer mit einem sehr kleinen Strand, an dem Abends die Meeresschildkröten zum Übernachten vor Anker gehen. In der Umgebung gibt es fussläufig einen größeren Strand, der sehr schön ist, wenn man die Campingeinheit am Anfang passiert hat. Zum Hafen von Ma’alaea und zum übrigens sehr schönen Maui Ocean Center läuft man fünf Minuten. Für einen Supermarkt sollte man aber eine Viertelstunde mit dem Auto einplanen. Die Wohnung ist in einem sehr gepflegten Komplex mit einem kleinen Pool, zwei Gasgrills und einem Parkplatz für jede Einheit. Sie ist sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Das Bett ist eines der gemütlichsten, in denen ich je geschlafen habe, und auch das Schlafsofa ist sehr bequem. Die Wohnung ist durchgehend mit Mückengittern ausgestattet, so dass man keine ungebetenen Gäste erwarten muss. Der Balkon zeigt zum Meer und auf eine unglaublich schöne Aussicht auf die Bucht und den Haleakala. Das Badezimmer hat alles, was man braucht, und für diejenigen mit langen, dicken Haaren einen Duschkopf, der vernünftig funktioniert (auch wichtig!). In der Wohnung gibt es eine kleine Klimaanlage. Aber da überall Ventilatoren hängen und immer ein Lüftchen weht, haben wir sie gar nicht einschalten müssen. Wir waren rundum glücklich mit und in dieser Wohnung. Sollten wir nochmal die Chance haben, um den halben Erdball zu reisen, dann kommen wir wieder!

Amazing view!
We had an amazing time at Ma’alaea! The view from the condo is amazing and the sound of the crushing waves was spectacular. This is one of the windiest locations on the island which helped keeping the condo cooled off. We loved the location, the set up and the amenities of the condo. We would stay there again.

Nice Central Location
Overall the location was great in the center of Maui near the Aquarium so easy to go anywhere you needed to go. The apartment was good for a small group. It had good ameneties for cooking there on site except for some basic supplies that would be helpful. Maybe having some basic cooking spices and some coffee filters and basics for that would have been nice. Overall a good place for a small group.

Great place to sit back and enjoy the fantastic and private ocean view. Everything was clean and well stocked. My only suggestion for an improvement is it would be nice if there was a place to sit and store shoes when entering the condo. A mixology set would also be nice.

Island Sands at Ma'alaea was heavenly, period.
The only issues we had were water dripping on deck, from AC unit making a huge amount of water. Everything was absolutely wonderful! I loved having the beach chairs & coolers there to use. It was the perfect get a way, I would highly recommend it and definitely return.

Location is perfect, building is showing its age
Initial impression was clouded by lack of lighting of the entrance pathway near the pool since we arrived after dark and a cockroach on the kitchen floor. When we talked to the property manager the following Monday, they informed us that the underground cables feeding those lights were damaged and overdue for repair. The kitchen was equipped very well so we were able to eat in instead of going to restaurants, which are very expensive in Hawaii. The rest of our time was delightful. We enjoyed the amazing views of the ocean, the sunrises over Mt Haleakala, watching sea turtles from our balcony, and the reflection of the full moon off the water at night. Downside is the fact that the bedroom is the warmest room in the apartment since A/C is a small window unit and located in the living room. When we opened both the front door and the balcony door the fierce winds blew right through and cooled the rest of the flat but not the bedroom. For those who care about pets n the building, they allow only service animals and we met several dogs which were very well-behaved and did not bark. We were unable to contact Maui Paradise Property Management prior to our arrival to see if the location was affected by the wildfires a week earlier and to find out if we needed to rebook a different location. VRBO was not helpful in that regard. Later found out that their office in Lahaina had completely burned down, but they still sent us the correct arrival info one week prior to arrival.

90 year old grandma does Hawaii!! WOW
We brought our 90-year-old mother here for her birthday. She had a fabulous time. She wanted to see the ocean and buy one last time. The views so amazing that she could sit on the lanai and look over at Haleakala in the ocean. Sleeping in the living room let her hear the sound of the ocean. At night you can see the lights of Kihei. We stayed close to the airport for mom. Turned out we loved the area. Nothing was too far for a drive. We went to everywhere and came home to the best view on Maui. Even had a local friend come over and he said wow it’s really nice here love to buy myself a place like this. The size of the unit concerned us, but in the end it was more than adequate for all three. The sofa bed was remarkably comfortable. And the king size bed, and a full dresser provided enough room to really unpack. We even had room for our wheelchair. Thank God we were in Maalea for the wind. The only bad thing is it is a really hot week and everything just gets hot. The trades were up, so keeping the door open let the cross breeze in. Full kitchen was great. We made the most amazing pasta with all local ingredients from farmers market and put the restaurants to shame. Having a washer and dryer is absolutely wonderful. The small pool was more than adequate and felt like a bathtub. All in all five stars. Plus we really try to check in early because of 90 year old mom. The cleaning staff is great. They were expeditiously in the morning texted us right away. MAHALO!!!

Excellent stay!
The property was exactly as described and just as everyone else said...THE VIEW!!! It is truly breathtaking! We had the pleasure of seeing turtles coming every night for dinner on the rocks directly in front of our lanai. Everything you need to be comfortable is available for you, we even used the boogie boards and gave it a try! The bed is very comfortable and we left the back sliding door open every night to listen to the waves. 10 out of 10...highly recommend!!

Great place to stay if you're traveling all over Maui. You really can see turtles from the balcony that are swimming in the shore below. Hotel management was very responsive to our needs as well.

Wonderful Condo With Amazing Views
We stayed in this condo in the beginning of may and absolutely loved it. The property manager was always attentive and made sure we were set up for when we arrive on the island. The sign in process is extremely simple. As well as the sign out process of the condo. The location of this condo is absolutely wonderful you are away from lots of the tourist crowds. The view from the patio is unreal, every night at around 4pm we could see sea turtles coming up to shore and one even came up on the beach to take a nap! I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Maui and not be in an overly crowded area!

Clean Location and amazing view
The view is to die for especially if you like watching the whales from the balcony! Loved the location as it was east to get north to Lahaina and south to Kihei. Felt safe in the community and a small general store in walking distance for coffee and light lunch. Very clean property.

Quiet location that was well maintained and clean. Bed was comfortable and felt new. Kitchen was dated but well kept, same with bathroom. Good value, saw turtles several times from balcony.

A view that tempted us to never leave
This place is just as it looks on the photos. Very cute, clean and comfortable. The view is absolutely stunning. We happened to arrive during one of Maui's worst rain storms. It shut the island down so all of our planned activities were cancelled. We felt so lucky to be in this condo. We were cozy and secure, with that gorgeous view to sit and ponder. We could watch the storm and enjoy the waves it brought in. It is a short walk to some restaurants, shops, and the Aquarium and even a small local park with easy access to a gorgeous beach. We went whale watching and saw that there were many whales within the bay area so keep watching. We did see a turtle, even with the bad storm One of the advantages of this condo is it's location. The island kind of looks like a large turtle. This condo is on the side of the neck across from the airport. To see the island you cross this "neck" region. It is a quick crossing from the condo. We were easily able to get to the road to Hana , Haleakala National Park and up the coast on a pretty drive to Lahaina. We rented a convertible which is the best way to see the island. Also this condo is in a much less populated area than Lahaina. We liked that there were no crowds and that it felt more like a local or owners type of area. It seemed like many people live in these condos. Everyone was friendly and we felt very safe and comfortable. The gorgeous view from the porch was worth booking this place alone. The comfortable furniture, decorations, full kitchen and free parking were a nice bonus.

Perfect Quiet Getaway
We were so happy to find this gem. The check-in was a little confusing because the front office was closed and we were unaware a registration slip would be in the condo, but that was the only hitch. Quiet location, constant sound of the ocean whether the shutters/door were open or closed, and GORGEOUS views. We saw honu almost every day from the lanai! If you aren't from the midwest or rural areas you might find the location less convenient because it's a 10-15 min drive to Kihei or Kahului, but we're used to that so it was no issue. There was a coffee maker available, but I went ahead and walked to the general store in the mornings for my java fix. The restaurants by the harbor mostly close before dinner, but it gave us an excuse to drive out to Kihei to try places. It's also walking distance to the Maui Ocean Center aquarium and the Pacific Whale Foundation eco-tour check-in for the Ma'alaea launches so it was a fantastic location in that respect. The property management company was super responsive to inquiries and the service manager came out to check something we reported. I also appreciate knowing that the condo owner actually uses the condo and it isn't just an investment company taking residential property to make money. Next time we return on our own we definitely plan to rent this unit again!

Great stay in Maalaea
We had a great stay at Island Sands in Maalaea. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a week’s stay. The lanai is really amazing with such a beautiful view. Maalaea is centrally located so driving to South, West Maui, or Upcountry is quite easy. You are also waking distance from the harbor where a lot of the tour boats take off for Molokini. We would certainly recommend staying here for future visitors!

Spectacular Balcony View!
By far the best two things about this property are the spectacular and private balcony view of the ocean water front so close to the unit, and the fact that the property is located in a quiet, almost rural neighborhood... so much better than the high end hotels for these two reasons, in mine and my husband's opinion!! The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, and we really liked having access to the beach chairs and the cooler for our beach trips--that helped immensely! A couple of things that could improve the stay: The lighting is not good in the bedroom as no overhead light. Even with the curtain pulled away from the window and the two nightstand lights on, it was very dim and especially difficult to see well to pack up when we left. Please consider a light kit for the ceiling fan, or else switch out the darkened lamp shades so more light can be illuminated into the bedroom. The bathroom lighting was also poor and difficult to see well to do my makeup. Perhaps consider some bright warm LED lighting. It was quite warm in the unit. It's advertised as having A/C, but the A/C unit is so small and is located clear down the hall and in the living room. We slept with the door to the bedroom open and had the fan pointing on us, but I would have preferred a cooler ambient temperature and not just a huge breeze to try to stay cool. Some nights I had difficulty sleeping due to the heat (I sleep much better when it's cooler), and it wasn't an especially hot time of the year. We visited in mid October. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and, as mentioned, absolutely loved the stunning ocean views and quiet surroundings!!!!!!!!!! Thank you.

Relaxing
A nice relaxing place with a great view that’s very central in Maui to all that you could want to go see. Great accommodations so you can cook, also do laundry so you won’t have to pack as much and comfort chairs provided that you can also take to the beach. Nice quiet community with some honu neighbors who pop up regularly! I’ll definitely keep this on my favorites for future visits.
