Die arkadische Hütte am Bishop Branch Creek

Die im Sommer 2017 erbaute Lage der Arcadian Cabin in der Driftless Area im Südwesten von Wisconsin vermittelt eine wahrhaft parkähnliche Atmosphäre. Sowohl Crystal Creek als auch Bishop Branch Creek befinden sich nur wenige Schritte vom überdachten Deck entfernt. Das Anwesen (3 + Acres) verfügt über einen Hof ideal für Lagerfeuer (Brennholz zur Verfügung gestellt), Sternbeobachtungen, Rasenspiele oder einfach nur faulenzen und entspannen. Darüber hinaus gibt es 58 Morgen öffentliches Land neben der Unterkunft zum Wandern, Angeln, Jagen, Schneeschuhwandern, Vogelbeobachtung und anderen Aktivitäten im Freien - keine Notwendigkeit zu fahren, diese Aktivitäten sind alle vor Ort zugänglich, sobald Sie aus der Front gehen Tür.

Am Ende des Tages, wird die 16'x28'-Kabine, die eine 18 Fuß hohe Decke im Hauptraum bietet, Sie und bis zu fünf zusätzliche Gäste (für sechs Personen) begrüßen. Die zwei Schlafzimmer, Badezimmer, voll ausgestattete Küche, Elektroheizung, Badewanne und Dusche, Elektrogeräte, Sat-TV, WiFi und viele andere Funktionen machen Ihren Aufenthalt angenehm und stressfrei.

Der Standort von The Arcadian ist ideal für jeden Reisenden. Viroqua, die Kreisstadt von Vernon County, ist weniger als 8 km entfernt und bietet zahlreiche Geschäfte, Festivals, einen anspruchsvollen Golfplatz und erstklassige Restaurants. Neben dem öffentlichen Land vor der Tür, ist das Kickapoo Valley Reserve weniger als 10 Minuten entfernt - bietet Kanu, Wandern, Jagen, Angeln und zahlreiche andere Outdoor-Aktivitäten und weit über 8.000 Hektar zu durchstreifen.

Wir haben dem Grundstück einen Lagerschuppen hinzugefügt, in dem Sie einen Teil Ihrer Ausrüstung einsperren und Ihre Watvögel austrocknen können. Es gibt auch Yards-Spiele, den Holzkohlegrill und andere Gegenstände im Lagerschuppen für Ihren Gebrauch.

Preisgekrönte Restaurants, Kickapoo Coffee, mehrere Weingüter (Vernon Vineyards, Branches Winery), ein Kino, ein saisonaler Bauernmarkt, Antiquitäten- und Spezialitätengeschäfte und das The Historic Temple Theatre sind nur ein paar der lokalen Attraktionen, nur wenige Minuten vom Arcadian entfernt. Der Mississippi ist 30 Minuten entfernt und größere Städte wie La Crosse und Madison sind beide bequem über den State Highway 14 erreichbar.

Everything was as advertised. There was even a pack and play for our 1 year old. Our kids ages 7 and 3 loved the little stream in the back and fishing for trout from the bridge. We caught four trout right under the bridge.

Great stay at Arcadian!

Beautiful cabin, location and stay at the Arcadian in the wonderful Driftless region! Enjoyed the quiet valley and nearby creek while having coffee and reading on the porch! Cabin was very clean and had all we needed for a relaxing stay! So many great things to do in the surrounding area, visting the Kickapoo Valley Reserve to hike and bike, Viroqua, wineries, and kayking on the Kickapoo River! Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful Driftless Escape

Beautiful cabin tucked into the rolling valley of the driftless region! The cabin looks just like the photos and was very comfortable. We saw a mama deer and her fawns playing in the morning!The hosts were very great communicators! Will be back!

Fishing paradise

Arcadian cabin is smack in the middle of Wisconsin’s Driftless Area, surrounding by incredible fly fishing in all directions, including a small trout stream right in front of the house. Jake and Becky were communicative and easy hosts. Would recommend.

This cabin was clean and comfortable. It’s situated in a peaceful little meadow, and is a great place to relax and watch wildlife. My husband and grandson had great success trout fishing in Bishop Branch Creek which runs right along the property. It’s very close to Viroqua which is a nice little town with restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay. We hope to return!

Great place to stay

We had a great time staying here for a spring fishing trip. The cabin is nice, clean, private and located in a great spot. If you're fishing, they even have a nice shed to store your stuff along with boot hangers. We had a nice time sitting on the porch after some long days as well as sitting by a fire one night. They even had all the firewood ready for us next to the firepit. We would certainly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place.

Girls Weekend

This was such a cozy, clean, welcoming little cabin in a quiet valley only a 10-minute drive (at most) into Viroqua. Lovely big table for crafts, puzzles, knitting, games, or just sitting and chatting! Tons of natural light!!Word of caution that most of the extra beds are upstairs, so people sleeping upstairs should be comfortable climbing the ladder.I would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Jake and Becky, for sharing your slice of paradise with us and for being such welcoming hosts! Little cup of cocoa for the soul.

Winter Wonderland at the Arcadian

This was my second stay at the Arcadian. It was just as pleasant and relaxing as my first. Winter as opposed to late Spring, but the Arcadian was just as comfortable, conveniently and practically supplied and furnished with all the amenities an individual, couple or small family may need. Warm and cozy inside while it was cold and snowy outside.Winter adds a whole new perspective and beauty to the Driftless region. The Arcadian Cabin is situated in the perfect location to experience that beauty: a nice large clearing, surrounded by wooded hills and nestled alongside two small creeks.I'm hoping for more pleasant stays at the Arcadian in the future.

Nice cabin/location. Beware of ladder access to 2nd BR, No Trespassing signs on stream in photo

This is a great cabin for a related couple using only the main bedroom and not planning on cooking full meals. Access to the 2nd bedroom requires climbing an 8-foot ladder. Climbing up/down the ladder to access your belongings or using the bathroom is unsafe and frustrating. While there is a picture of the ladder in the property description, the ladder is not shown in the 2nd bedroom photos. There is a picture showing of the BR with the top of the ladder but it's not obvious this is the only access. We were looking for a cabin with "walk out the front door" flyfishing access. This property looked perfect with Bishop Branch several hundred feet away. Unf the photos in the description are inaccurate because they don't show the No Trespassing signs on both sides and hose strung across the stream. I sent an email describing these and other issues. VRBO limits reviews to 1500 characters so I'm only mentioning a few of the issues here. The host called me (I prefer email) to tell me we should have reached out about the condition of the cookware (nonstick pans shedding nonstick material) and they would have replaced. Since we were already cooking dinner that wouldn't have helped. We expected usable cookware in an Exceptional VRBO property. During the call with the host, I brought up the inaccurate stream and 2nd bedroom ladder photos. After15 frustrating minutes of back and forth I gave up, said goodbye and hung up. Nice property, nice people not a premium experience

Driftless Dream Location

This is a perfect spot to enjoy all that the Driftless has to offer! The place is located perfectly out of town but an easy jaunt in if you want to go to eat or enjoy Viroqua! The fishing was excellent even right out front, if ya know how to find them! The Driftless Angler can help ya out if needed! We will be back soon!

Excellent Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our family getaway at the Arcadian. The cabin was clean and cozy. The property is so serene with the stream and surrounding trees. Nighttime fires and stargazing were amazing. Would definitely recommend a stay and we hope to return someday.

Nature speaks here

What a place. If you’re looking for a babbling brook, birds singing, crickets chirping, stars shining, hammock swinging, glowing fire kinda place, you will find it here! And did I mention a clean and tastefully decorated cabin? Yup! You get that too. We were pleasantly surprised by all the extras this place had to offer. And the hosts were wonderful to communicate with and took care of a need above and beyond what we asked. Took day trips to neighboring towns and then right back to this sweet little place. Easy run into town for anything you need. Storage shed was great for our bikes (local bike shop was so helpful in finding good trails). Good coffee at the Food Coop and shorter lines than Wonderstate. We went in Sept and leaves were just starting to turn and almost no mosquitoes, even by the brook (which is worth the trip alone, so peaceful and relaxing). Beautiful scenic drives. County Road D is great to stop at some of the Amish farms for goodies. Love the variety this area of WI gives you.
