„After watching the ABC segment filmed a long time ago, it is a credit to the owners to see how lovely and relaxing the accommodation is now.The Blacksmith’s Cottage is perfect for a couple. We bought cheese and wine with us as we’d read the reviews and knew a full kitchen wasn’t included. A microwave, crockery and tea/coffee making supplies were so it was perfect. „Incredible stay at Basalt Retreat! We enjoyed a cozy and luxurious evening the beautiful vineyard, made even more lovely by the complimentary bottle of prosecco and warm hot cocoa. The space itself is gorgeous and so well appointed—from the fascinating books to the gorgeously-scented bath products. Breakfast was delicious: an exquisite croissant loaf with butter and fig jam, plus yogurt and muesli, all made by local purveyors. If you have time, make sure to get lunch at the lovely restaurant. ...

Everything about this property was just perfect and we also had some beautiful walks nearby and also headed down to nearby Apollo Bay for a day. We can’t wait to go back and are planning another booking very ...

„Beautiful and clean“

„We had an incredible stay! The house was in perfect location. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, which we truly appreciated. Our host was fantastic—always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. Best of all, they were so accommodating to my family and our pets, making us feel right at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!"“
