One-of-a-Kind Home! Pet Friendly, Fenced, Private Pool! 1 mi to Downtown & Beach

Located in the beautiful Gulf Coast town of Venice, Laurel Bungalow is nestled in the quiet neighborhood known as the Historic Edgewood District, just off the Island of Venice. Enjoy all the luxuries of Florida right under your roof or hop on your bicycle and ride 1/2 mile to the Legacy Trail, 1 mile to downtown Venice or 2 miles to Venice Beach or Casperson's Beach (the Sharks Tooth Capital of the World). Laurel Bungalow boasts a private heated saltwater pool, outdoor kitchen w/ Green Egg and gas grill, covered seating area with television, fire table, outdoor shower and detached "pool house" with a queen bed and home theater with 86" TV. The home also has a cozy screened porch with separate fenced in side yard. The main house has a comfortable living room, dining table that easily seats 8, kitchen, laundry room/bath, 2 bedrooms (one king bed and one queen bed) plus office with high speed WiFi. 3rd bedroom (with queen bed) is located in detached pool house. Our neighborhood has a playground/park, baseball fields, tennis & pickle ball courts. Conveniently located to all Venice has to offer~ beach, shopping, restaurants, theater, golf, bike trails, you name it! ~ and everything else you'll find right under your own roof! Laurel Bungalow is a dog friendly, non-smoking property. This is a private residence, with a private pool, and not shared by other rental homes.

Perfect Stay
Fantastic location.....close to EVERYTHING! My wife is 74 and doesn't go to the beach much so the pool was a HIT! The house has everything you need and the outdoor kitchen and covered area was perfect. Edie, the property manager was easy to contact and responded promptly. Tropical retreat!
The details put into this place is outstanding! Beautiful pool and lounging area with an outdoor TV and shower! Very clean. Side porch was great for the dogs to go potty and relax when bugs got bad. We even played Scrabble that was on the porch table! My son and girlfriend stayed in the pool house, and we watched some basketball in there after dinner one night. Huge theatre setting in pool house! Fabulous! We never showered inside! Great tropical retreat close to town and beaches!

This property was perfect for our annual family vacation to Venice! The property is very clean, nicely decorated, and well cared for! You would never know it is a dog friendly rental! I was nervous about this when reserving. I love my dogs but def. Don’t want to deal with other peoples dog dirt on my vacation. We didn’t bring our dogs this time but would consider next time because of the great set up for them. The fenced in yard is very secure and provides great privacy. Overall this property is great! There is plenty of spaces to gather as a group but also areas where you can have down time if you need it. The pool is lovely. The kitchen is super well equipped. All the appliances including the outdoor kitchen area were very nice and worked well. The outdoor shower and theater set up in the guest house are really fun touches. We had an amazing stay here and will most likely book again. 10/10. My only suggestions would be a few more lounge chairs by the pool with umbrellas. It didn’t affect our satisfaction in the least. Oh and as a family we all agreed a hot tub would have made this place over the top! Edie and Greg were super responsive to our needs which there were few because of how well maintained the property is and you can tell they care about their home and the renters.

A Hollywood Bungalow with an awesome LA Backyard.
Feb 2024 we originally rented this Bungalow for the backyard. The pool was warm enough for visits from my Sarasota family. The large covered lanai with kitchen, long table, TV, and comfy firepit easily handled family dinners. The outside shower was my favorite feature while my 30-something kids enjoyed the Pool Houses's 72 inch TV Screen. The bungalow's landscaping creates beautiful backdrops for every photo. I enjoyed the Orchid Tree. Inside the Bungalow we were very happy with the size of the furniture. Our family is tall and we were comfortable on the chairs and sofas. I thought the King size bed was a perfect med-tiny soft mattresses. The Queen bed was a little soft for me. I wasn't on the murphy bed.Inside, I loved the warmth created by a little Bohemian, farmhouse, cozy stlye. Everywhere you look, an interesting "moment" evokes a feeling or memory of joy or reflection.This Bungalow is in our favorite Venice neighborhood. It's close to downtown with all the shops& restaurants and its close to the pier and Brohard Dog Park & Beach. The Bungalow has become our favorite place to stay in Venice.

This absolutely beautiful property in Venice Florida is quite the gem. We vacationed with our two dogs and I don’t think we could have picked a more perfect place. Two fenced in areas, one for play, and the smaller area for them to “do their job” for easier clean up! The heated saltwater pool was our favorite feature of the home as we spent most of our time in the back patio equipped with a large tv and grills. They have u tube tv but if you would like alternatives bring your passwords for Netflix, Hulu, etc.. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the living/dining area was very relaxing. The wall to wall windows at the front of the house brings in the light but it would have been nice if they had curtains or blinds so we could close them in the evening… we are two women and felt a bit uneasy with them open at night. That being said, we didn’t spend much time inside because we had a beautiful oasis outside! We would definitely stay here again as it was the perfect place for us and our dogs.

This property was absolutely perfect! The online description is accurate and it was better than we could have imagined. The location is great and close to anything you will need, so convenient. The backyard is fantastic, everyone LOVED the pool and we spent most of our time back there. The outdoor shower is a great bonus and I was not expecting to use it as much as I did. So much easier to use that before and after the pool. My husband and kids have already said that we need to stay here for our next vacation! Loved this house so much! Luckily it was available for a return trip. Every area of this home is so very nice. My husband and I stayed in the pool house this week, loved the privacy which allowed our son and family to stretch out in the house. Perfect for our quiet vacation!
The house is so beautiful with lots of big windows! Comfortable inside - everything you could possibly need. The office was perfect since my husband had to work a few days (it’s 100x better than his office at home!) There are two fenced in yards which were perfect for our two Labradors! The outdoor space is the cherry on top! I enjoyed grilling burgers & dogs, and using the Green Egg smoker for the first time to smoke baby back ribs and a pork shoulder. With some expert guidance from the host, my smoker experience was perfect! I love this outdoor kitchen and the sink makes for easy clean up. The outdoor lounging area around the fire table is so comfortable and a nice way to be outside but out of the sun. The TV outside is fantastic. The pool was so nice. The water was very warm however. But when I got out of the pool I felt cool and refreshed. Outdoor shower is amazing! We watched a movie in surround sound in the pool house one night! So fun! Excellent, outstanding vacation at this home!

THIS IS FLORIDA AT ITS FINEST
Looking for sun, fun and relaxation? Look no further than Laurel Bungalow. The outdoor area is an absolute Nirvana. Everything from the outdoor grilling area, ample outdoor seating area with overhead fans, and TV, is located under a large patio roof. The large fenced in yard contains a large saltwater pool, the covered patio, outdoor shower and a bungalow the features a home theater setting with surround sound 86" TV , and reclining theater chairs. The Murphy bed was an additional plus. The outdoor shower for us eliminated the use of the showers indoors. If you have dogs this place offers safety with completely fenced in backyard and side yard and greenspace to let dogs be dogs. An added plus is the house is a short distance from the only dog beach in Sarasota County. What more can I say about Laurel Bungalow is that it has everything that Florida offers for a memorable vacation. The hosts Greg and Edie are the most attentive and accommodating people. Wonderful Oasis!
We had an absolute blast! Your home is so lovely! My parents, my husband, and our pups had an amazing/relaxing time! You have such a wonderful set up in your back yard! It is the perfect set up for dog family’s. We lived outside basically! We only were inside to cook meals and sleep! God willing we still have our dog with us next year we will certainly be back!
