1) Check-in hours have to be pre-noticed; had to wait 10min. 2) staff extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable. 3) Studio run-down in general; not clear whether concept will be continued beyond 2019 or entire building replaced by private investor (pictures from exterior on webite not conform with reality). 4) Access to fitness/pool requires 5-10min footwalk. 5) Location 6 stars - the very, very best of Vancouver.

Schnö und günstig
Die Lage des hotels ist genial! Und zum Preis von einem Hotelzimmer bekommt man eine ganze Wohnung mit allen Küchengeräten, die im Alltag genutzt werden. In der Wohnung sind ganz viele stauräume vorhanden, so dass man sich ganz schnell wie Zuhause fühlen kann. Geputzt und aufgeräumt wird täglich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich werde sehr gerne wieder kommen!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft
Das Apartmenthaus liegt direkt am Stanley-Park in ruhiger und schöner Lage. Bis in die Innenstadt sind es fußläufig nur wenige Minuten. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich Cafés, Bistros etc.. Für uns war die Lage perfekt. Nettes und freundliches Personal. Helles, gemütliches und sauberes Apartment mit Küche! Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!!!

The person at the reception was the most friendly, helpful person I ever had. He explained in detail places where we could find food, restaurants etc. The suite was really spacious and included a large living room. It would have been nice to stay there a longer time. The area is absolutely quiet, just a few minutes away from Stanley park. You should not expect a full service hotel providing breakfast & dinner. But this is not needed, since the hotel is close to one of the main restaurant areas of Vancouver and supermarkets are also very close.

Ruhige und tolle Lage
Ich und meine Tochter waren im Oktober 2011 für eine Woche in Vancouver B.C. Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig und liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zum sehenswerten Stanley Park, so dass man auch nach einem stressigen Stadtbummel noch schnell naturnahen Ausgleich haben kann. Die Hotelsuite war sehr geräumig und sauber. An manchen Stellen ( Kaminsims, Küchenschränkte ) blätterte schon etwas die Farbe ab. Die Fenster sind nicht so dick und gut erhalten, wie wir es in Deutschland gewohnt sind, es tat dem guten Gesamteindruck aber keinen Abbruch. Insgesamt also gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Hotelbelegschaft ist besonders freundlich.

Gemütliche Unterkunft in toller Lage
Die Rosellen Suites sind super ruhig am Rand des Stanley Parks gelegen. Obwohl wir ein noch nicht renoviertes Zimmer hatten, haben wir uns schnell sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war super sauber u. gut ausgestattet. Tag von der Rezeption war äußerst hilfsbereit u. hatte viele Tipps für sightseeing. Restaurants, Supermärkte, Banken etc. sind in 5 bis 10 Gehminuten zu erreichen (Denman Street). Empfehlenswert: Frühstück in Joe`s Grill, super lecker, große Portionen u. preiswert.

Super-zentral und trotzdem total ruhig
Die Lage ist unschlagbar, wie auch der freundliche Empfang und der Service. Bausubstanz ist dennoch mittel, was man z.B. an den Fenstern sehen kann: Einscheiben-Verglasung, in Metallrahmen eingekittet ist energetisch sicher nicht mehr ganz zeitgemäß. Küchenausstattung umfangreich, aber technisch etwas "barock". Insgesamt ein perfekter Stützpunkt mit Laufentfernung zur gesamten Downtown (!),und sowieso zu Stanley-Park, Stränden und Coal-Harbour

The best thing about this property is the location. The actual facility is old and a bit run down. The parking garage is tiny so if you have an SUV its not ideal. The beds were incredibly firm. There is no thermostat in the room, just old furnace units. We were able to turn them off and open all the windows to regulate the temp better. We enjoyed our time but again that had everything to do with the location. We will be looking for other accommodations next time.

Thank you for sharing. WE are so sorry regarding housekeeping service. Guest did not get services due to, or maybe have 'DND' sign, that housekeeping will not enter suite. And Rosellen Suite do try to save water due to storage, that why we do not provide daily service, unless guest's request. Once again, thank you and we will do better in the future.

Do not book here unless you enjoy giving away your money and getting nothing in return. Expedia said that I could check in until midnight. I messaged the hotel at 8 pm to tell them I'd be coming in at 11 pm, nobody answered. Their phone was off and not taking messages. A note on their website said that the office closes at 5 pm and that we should contact them before 5 to get the lockbox code. They could have emailed or texted me the code when I first booked, but didn't. There was no way to reach them or to get into the room I had prepaid. I had to find somewhere else to stay at 10:30 at night when I arrived in Vancouver. I have emailed the hotel and Expedia to request a refund but have heard nothing.

The property is located in decent location. That's all the positives. Coming to negatives, not stroller friendly. We had to get kids out of double stroller every time we need to get in or out, very inconvenient. One of property managers - I think his name is Kent is extremely weird. Among all the conversation, I can mention two of them. One was while running in lobby (which I guess toddlers do often) my child bumped into the lampshade pile they kept in middle of narrow walkway. He asked me to keep watch on my child instead of apologizing for keeping stuff where it doesn't belong. Secondly, we requested for some tea bags they kept on first day of stay and he arrogantly advised to get it from outside. On one of times while passing through the lobby, we heard him offering some other guests extra coffee bags if they would like.. so it came out a bit rascist to us. It was not content but tone that was starking - never heard such a tone in any of the properties we stayed so far. Among all of them, only one of managers Dinesh seemed decent and willing to listen. NOT WORTH THE COST and LOCATION. would recommend staying somewhere else if you can.

We stay here annually as it is close to family and we don't need to rent a car. Walking distance to everything in the west end of down town. The staff are lovely and it is always a home away from home.

We’ve stayed here many times. The property is aging and needs a facelift but it’s inexpensive and right next to Stanley Park. The rooms are clean and are actual apartments (the property was an apartment building before Expo ‘86) so they are much larger than a comparable hotel room for the price. The copper leaf doors to every room and the vintage elevator gives the place a ‘50’s vibe. Denman St is steps away with restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. Try Aussie Pies.

This is a prime location, a hidden gem! Safeway and No Frills are within walking distance for your groceries, Lost Lagoon and the seawall are so close to walk to, and the local restaurants are amazing to eat at! Lots of variety! If you’re looking for modern bathrooms and kitchens as your first choice in a suite, this isn’t it. But it is very clean. I didn’t care that the hotel was dated. I had an amazing stay and the staff were very friendly! It truly felt like home away from home!
