Gutes Hotel zwischen San Francisco und Redwoodpark
Quality Inn ist ein klassisches Motel auf dem Weg zwischen San Francisco und dem Redwood National Parks. Unser Zimmer war sauber, das Bett gut, das Personal freundlich, das WLAN stabil, das Bad sauber, die Dusche hatte den besten Duschkopf aller Hotels die wir bislang besucht haben. Das 'große Frühstück' war wirklich sehr vielfältig!!! (von selbst backenden frischen Waffeln, Joghurt, Obst, Toast, Plunder, Müsli ... div. Kaffee), also absolut zu empfehlen! Der Frühstücksraum ist recht klein... wir waren anscheinend außerhalb einer Stoßzeit da.

Waren von Quality Inn anderen Komfort gewöhnt
Pro: sehr freundlicher Rezeptionist; haben aufgrund der Expedia-Bewertungen, die zufriedenstellend waren, dieses Hotel gebucht. Cons: Bekamen ein Zimmer in einer dunklen Ecke des Gebäudekomplexes mit fast keinem Tageslicht neben dem Hauswirtschaftsraum, in dem morgens ab 6.30 Uhr die Waschmaschinen und Wäschetrockner liefen und rumpelten. Teppichboden war sehr abgewohnt, der Tisch wackelte erbärmlich. Kontinentales Frühstück war mangelhaft, da das Servicepersonal durch Abwesenheit glänzte und fehlende Sachen (z.B. Kaffee, Bagels, Plastikgabeln)nicht aufgefüllt wurden. Erst nach Reklamation an der Rezeption wurde Abhilfe geschaffen. Wir können nicht nachvollziehen wie dieses Quality Inn zu der relativ guten Bewertung bei Expedia kam.

Sauberes Motel
Das Motel ist für einen Zwischenstop auf einer Rundreise perfekt. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und groß, aber eher einfach eingerichtet. Vielleicht erwarten einige ein wenig mehr Schnick-Schnack für den Preis, für unsere Zwecke war es aber mehr als ausreichend. Das Frühstück ist im Vergleich zu anderen Motels obere Kategorie (Rührei, Würstchen, Waffeln...).

Check in was a nightmare. I booked the room because it is listed on Expedia as pet friendly. Showed up, front desk agent tells us that no pets are allowed. Upon finding this out, they don't want to cancel our booking or provide a refund. I contact Expedia and ask them why the hell it is listed as pet friendly, Expedia calls the front desk, and all of a sudden, then hotel IS pet friendly. So we pay to just bring in one pet. Now the problem is that we are not allowed to keep any pets in the van (we had 4 so we were leaving the adults in the van and bringing the puppy inside) and they were trying to force us to bring ALL the pets inside and charge us $25 per pet, threatening to kick us out of the room with no refund if they dogs were to bark. After some back and forth, and another call from Expedia in which they refused to refund us and cancel the booking, they agreed to "letting us do what we want with our own pets". Finally get into the room about 1 hour later. I leave the room for a minute, and when I get back, the key doesn't open the door. Another hour and 3 employees later, I have to move rooms because the door wouldn't open. Horrible experience. Never again. At this point, I won't even be booking through Expedia since they are absolutely useless in the case that something doesn't go as planned.

My biggest complaint is they wanted to charge an early check in fee. Maybe I’ve been lucky with other hotels. Other than that it’s a $90 room.

Older hotel with many small maintenance issues. Very load heater - not able to sleep. Had to turn it off in the middle of the night and sleep without it hoping not to freeze in the morning. Luckily, it was not that cold yet. The staff was cordial though.
