Charming 3-bedroom cabin in delightful Soda Springs getaway. Sorry no pets.

This amazing cabin is a dream is a dream I had from a small kid hanging out at Bass Lake with family and friends. There's a small pond in the backyard but there are large bodies of water close by such as Serene Lakes and Donner Lake about 15 minutes away. In front of the house there are hundreds of miles hiking and biking trails and if you have a quad or Razor to tackle the trails you'll absolutely love it.

In the winter, chains and / or 4WD are needed for the area and the driveway. You're only about 15 minutes from downtown Truckee which has shops, restaurants, breweries, hiking and museums.

This cabin was perfect for our trip. I went with a friend and our kids to have a little sledding/snow adventure and it was an ideal launch pad. The cabin was super cozy and cute, with lots of climbing nooks and lofts and secret rooms for the kids to explore. It all was very rustic, had a great hot tub, and was really close to Kingvale where we went tubing. We had a great visit.

Great house with more space than the photos show! This house had exactly what we were looking for to celebrate a cozy New Year. Plenty of beds, a well equipped kitchen for staying in and cooking (restaurants close if you want) and a view of the creek/pond behind it. The jacuzzi is large and still plenty of deck space for sitting out. The heater works amazingly and the house was warm for our snowy stay. A smart TV was wonderful but more fun was the GIANT collection of DVD's of GREAT movies! Having 2 bathrooms, that get hot water so quickly, allowed all of us to spread out easily.

Excited to see sleds were even available for our use and a super good sled hill just a few doors away or you can easily get to the paid sledding (and skiing) locations that are just a short drive away.

The driveway had been cleared and made parking easy for multiple cars.
Local neighbors put on a super amazing fireworks display and bonfire for NYE.
Brent was a very responsive host when needed! Thanks

We had an amazing stay at Brent’s place. The cabin has a cozy feel that instantly makes you feel at home. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together. The kitchen is fully stocked with clean, newer pots and pans, not the random, worn-out mix you sometimes find in rentals. One of my favorite surprises was the epic DVD collection; it added such a fun, nostalgic touch to the stay.

You can really tell Brent takes pride in his rental. All the small details stood out, like brand-new loofahs for each guest and clear, easy-to-use instructions for everything. Every appliance and feature worked perfectly. Brent himself is incredibly responsive and helpful. Any question I had was answered quickly and kindly.

The only small downside, and it has nothing to do with the house itself, is that if you’re seeking complete peace and silence, you can hear some traffic from outside even though the home isn’t very close to the highway. Thanks Brent!

Great house close to Sugarbowl. Brent was very flexible and helpful. Kitchen was nice, the beds were comfy and the front stairs were heated (so no shoveling!). We hope to be back for another ski trip!

We had a beautiful Christmas at Brent’s. Myself, my wife and mom all stayed comfortably in the two main bedrooms. It is worth noting the upstairs bedroom with a king bed is basically an open concert loft above the living room and kitchen, so if privacy is super important this wouldn’t be the place for you. Otherwise everything was prefect as described, we had a beautiful amount of snow and even went sledding on the nearby hill. The hot tub was perfect for hanging out at night, it was especially beautiful in the snow storm. There was a good amount of kitchen utensils, appliances and spices that made holiday cooking nice and easy.

The house was very close to Sugarbowl ski resort and Donner Lake. Only about 15 minutes to Sugar bowl. The house was great and very spacious. The Jacuzzi at the end of the long day on the mountain was superb. I only wished the fireplace worked for a cozy fire, but the heat worked just fine.

My daughter and her two daughters and I loved our stay at Brent’s! The snow was so deep, and we had a blast playing in the fun yard that leads down to a large pond. We felt very cozy and safe! Oh, and the hot tub was an added bonus on a freezing cold night!

We had an amazing time at Brent‘s house and felt right at home. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, had enough space for everyone to spread out and was very clean.  It’s a 5- 10 minute drive to Soda Springs ski resort, which was perfect. The spa was a bonus and we spent a lot of time out there enjoying the view. The BBQ came in handy! I hope to visit again during the summer months to enjoy it in a whole different way.
The cabin is beautiful with serious attention to detail. It has so many great DVDs, a couple sleds to use in the snow, and very comfortable beds.
We loved the consistent hunting theme throughout.
Brent was super responsive to all of our questions and we appreciated that.

My group of 5 would recommend this house! We especially loved the private hot tub, kitchen (all the tools and appliances!), cabin decor (bears, ducks and more), entertainment options (so many dvds and board games!) and location! The directions around the house were very helpful and easy to follow. We would love to stay here again!

10/10! We had such an incredible time. Brent was so communicative and he checked in to make sure that everything was perfect (which it was!). The place was exactly how it was described (beautiful!) and we had everything we needed. We went in the hot tub every day - it was such a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

Great experience and exceeded expectations! I took my boys up for a ski weekend and we had a wonderful time. The place is much larger than we expected and everything is very well laid out. Instructions for appliances, BBQ, jacuzzi, etc. all straightforward and everything works. 10 min drive to Sugar Bowl and short drive to Truckee. Great place!

We absolutely loved staying at Brent’s place. The house is super cozy and has everything you’ll need (except maybe WiFi, but reception is great, so we could easily make do using our phone as a hotspot). Great collection of movies and games. Hot tub is squeaky clean and has an amazing view. Brent is very responsive and made us feel very welcome. We are definitely hoping to return in the future.

We were 2 couples with toddlers and enjoyed staying at Brent's place. We needed a little bit of snow and a place to sled with toddlers. Kingsvale which is very close to Brent's place is perfect. Having the hot tub was perfect and it was sparking clean. There are a few food options close-by but lot more options in Truckee ~15-20min drive. Recommended to have an AWD or chains in winter as the driveway could be icy/slippery.

Beautiful cabin. The place was very clean, nice amenities, fully stocked of items, and a working clean jacuzzi. Brent was great with communication and quick to reply with any questions we had. Property was beautiful and quiet. We will definitely be back again!

Brent’s place is great. It’s hard to rank what was best but in no particular order: Brent is super accommodating & responsive. The place has EVERYTHING you need including classic, something for everyone dvd collection. Great location for our family with snow park AND neighborhood sledding hill. Charming cabin-life decor with a sense of humor sprinkled throughout. Hope to be a repeat guest.

This lovely cabin is a true sanctuary, a dream to get to enjoy. Brent was so helpful and had it all set up for us to enjoy. The view from the hot tub is idyllic, the kitchen was perfect for meals, the couch was totally cozy and the sleeping areas were completely comfortable. With the road maintenance and the proximity to the resorts, I can picture this being a hard place to find available in future.

We had a great time at Brent's cabin; he sent pictures of the plowed driveway and cleared steps after the blizzard, so we had no problems accessing the cabin. He was communicative throughout the process, and sent us the lockbox code via messages -- he said that he changes the code between guests.
The space itself was great, very clean, with fun decor and useful instructions throughout the house. The kitchen was fully equipped and we enjoyed using the grill. Thank you!
