The property is extremely well maintained and updated. The linens were soft and the pillows were great! The mattress was very firm. I wasn’t a fan of it but that’s subjective. The beach and building were clean and smoke free. The drinks at blush were good too! The staff is very friendly and always present

This is a brand new property and it couldn't be nicer. The staff was friendly and always smiling, couldn't do enough for us. Warm cookies at 7 pm was nice treat. We will be back!

Terribly disappointing
We were very disappointed with our stay here. The room, though a corner king suite SOUNDS large, was very small and still nearly $300 with tax. There was no room for the luggage bench after we pulled out the spare bed and had to put it in the hallway. The king’s bedding was nice, but the pillows were so lofty that they went completely flat when using and the mattress was terribly firm and uncomfortable. The couch was upholstered with a tacky, sort of plastic vinyl and the mattress on it was really thin and uncomfortable. There were three of us in the room, which was maybe 10 feet across total and it was really cramped. Why is there a bright blue light and clear door for the mini fridge? It illuminated the entire room at night and covering it with a towel didn’t help much. The staff was friendly at check in and it was clean but I’d never suggest it to anyone sadly. We asked to change rooms because of the small size and were told rooms were all the same with only one king and a pull out. I find that doubtful.

Hi Kimberly, thank you for staying with us the other month! We appreciate your feedback regarding your group's time with us at Alexandra Inn and apologize it didn't meet up to all your expectations. All of the rooms at our Inn have one King size bed and one Full size sofa sleeper, we do not have any Double Queen rooms at the entire property so are unable to meet your request to change to a room type that we do not have. The refrigerator has a button on the front which can turn off the light or change the temperature to cater towards guest preferences. We would have been happy to assist you with this if you would have let us know. For groups with more than two adults we recommend our Lakeview Balcony King room which is larger or many groups enjoy getting connecting rooms for more space at our boutique inn. We hope your overall time in Traverse City was enjoyable!

We loved how the room was laid out. Lots of space in the room. Beautiful bathroom. Concerns were the noisy heater! It kept me awake. Also our comforter had several rips in it.

This is a lovely new hotel. A couple of problems kept me from giving them 5 stars. First, there is no closet, although there is a place to hang things. There are also no drawers, so you have to live out of luggage. Never really a problem for a few days, usually. The shelf under the hangers might fit your case if it's small. So the establishment REALLY needs to furnish luggage racks in the rooms. We ended up moving the coffee table to the side and setting our suitcase on that, it worked but really, do you want guests to have to move furniture to make their stay comfortable. A luggage rack in each room is needed! There needs to be 2 towel bars in the bathroom, there are none, one by the shower and one by the tub. Many guest would hang towels to dry instead of needing them laundered if it were an option. Last, the tap water is terrible, other guests mentioned this but I thought how bad can it be. It's bad. Leaving a couple of bottles of water in each room would solve this, I know I am always delighted when a hotel leaves bottled water. I'm serious when I say don't even make coffee with the tap water. I know this is nitpicking, but the hotel and staff are so wonderful that I feel just a couple of tweaks would make it nearly perfect. We had a lovely balcony with a water view. Room was spacious with a sofa, so plenty of room for the two of us. Everything is spotless.

While we do offer filtered water, a water bottle refill station, and bottled water at the property, we will also evaluate options to provide in room filtered water without causing excessive single use plastics. The hotel was very clean as it has just opened in the summer of 2023. The rooms are nice and spacious and have a great view of the East Grand Traverse Bay. We stayed at the end of October for our anniversary so the weather was cold and cloudy and we did not get to enjoy the beach, but the beach area was clean and looked like a nice place to be in the summer. Staff was very friendly and polite and overall nice place to stay.

Probably fine if you get a bay view room.
Beware! Very nice place EXCEPT there is NO area outside of your room to sit and enjoy the view. We got handicap accessible room (all that was available) with parking lot view. There was NO closet or drawers in room. Only one hook for towels in bathroom. Not even luggage racks to put suitcase on. Other guests were given tokens for free drink. None offered to us. Maybe because we booked through Hotels.com? Have a rooftop area but closed first night due to rain. Second night they had a cellist for one hour but was cold and very windy therefore not tolerable. If you plan to enjoy view of the bay but have a parking lot view, plan to be disappointed. The cost was over $600 for two nights.

Our rooftop deck adn private beach both offer public space to sit and enjoy the view of East Bay but unfortunately we cannot control the weather. Your room did come equipped with a wardrobe unit including shelving and hanging rods but apologize if that was not what you were looking for. We also have luggage racks and would have been happy to bring one to your room if we had known you wanted one. We hope you were able to enjoy the Fall colors in Northern Michigan and your overall trip to Traverse City was enjoyable.

The hotels.com website had this hotel in a search for hotels with pools and hot tubs available. Upon arrival it in fact did not have either. So a little upset about that but this is not the owner’s fault. Staff was friendly and room was very nice.

Brand new; modern; clean. Nice bathroom. Great shower. Big TV. Bed comfortable. Beautiful view. Nice big towels. A minor suggestion: put a floor lamp between the balcony door and cabinet.

Great find! What an overall wonderful experience. The rooftop bar was the icing on the cake. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. We will definitely be back!
