„We loved our stay here. We loved the simple Tongan style accommodation. There are only 3 fales set in beautiful tropical gardens where guests are allowed to pick their own pawpaw and coconuts. It is private, secure and quiet, set beside the best snorkelling beach in Tonga with the use of kayaks. The coral is amazing to the right of the beach but you need to be careful to go when it’s calmer and lower tide. We saw whales swim past from the family unit we were staying in. „Das Vakaloa Beach Resort befindet sich an einem der besseren Strände von Tongatapu. Für 30 TOP kann man mit dem Taxi von Nukualofa dorthin gelangen. Die Besitzerin (halbdeutsch) und ihr aus Tonga stammender Australier sind äussert hilfsbereit und großzügig. Fahrräder werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Mittwochs und Freitags findet eine große Show mit Buffet statt. Das sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen.“
