„Our stay in this lovely beach house was perfect for our needs. Paula and Keith were extraordinarily warm and welcoming hosts. The garden was mesmerizing cosy and private and the house was very clean and beautifully decorated. It offered everything you need to live and in case there was anything needed, Paula an Keith were open and happy to help. We wish to come again in our lifetime.“

„We couldn't recommend UNDER THE ELMS enough. The day we arrived was Hawkes Bays coldest day of the Winter so far. The heat pumps were on - the house was warm and welcoming. The gorgeous bathroom tiles were warm! Wine in the fridge, coffee in the pantry, beautiful decor....a real TREAT.“

„Shayla was so accomodating! Great communication and done everything possible to make our stay comfortable! She even sent her husband over to fix the gas for the hot water at 12am (he was there in 5 minuets)! The little goodies were a lovely touch too, the only thing i could reccommend is getting a couple of oven trays (you guys had everything else but that)! We will definately be booking here again in future, thank you again so much for everything - Jess.“

„We had a warm welcome from Gwen and look around the accommodation. Beautiful breakfast, decor and cosy to relax in. Checked in on us and closed our curtains in evening which was a lovely surprise to come back to after dark! Highly recommended!!!!“

„Stayed 3 nights, with friends from overseas, for a concert at Black Barn. House was beautifully renovated and had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The host Rebekah was lovely to deal with. Great location on the main road between Havelock North and Hastings, 5 minutes walk into lovely Havelock township and 30 minutes from Napier. Great base for exploring this region with its close proximity to the towns, vineyards and Te Mata Peak for a birds eye view of the area. Highly recommend. “

„The property is across from the ocean and just down the street from the aquarium and restaurants. Was a bit disappointed some parts of the property need to have some maintenance done, the tub is pealing and needs to be replaced or fixed. The other bathroom has gaps around the bottom of the door and around one side. So a cold breeze blows in while you are trying to shower. Also the hot water only comes out as a trickle where as the cold water comes out full blast. Have long hair was hard to ...
