„The house itself is fantastic with great views. We were arriving late and had a hard time communicating with the hosts (via phone or email). Also, there was no sugar or coffee in the kitchen and the only store in town closed before we got there :(.“

„The bach is in a brilliant position, very close to the beach but high enough to be out of any wave danger. Great views of the sea. Good views of the lighthouse which is lit up at night. The kitchen has an air-fryer which was easy to use, and a good big coffee plunger. Our weekend away had terrible weather, but the bach quickly heated up inside and was nice and warm. There was a problem with the new Smart TV, no satellite signal, but I'm sure it will be fixed before the next guest. There ...

„I am a bit jealus not to have such a wonderful home directly at the beach (200 meters to the water at high tide).Tavanna and Tove are wunderful attent hnoos. Even my mishaps with the burned kettle hast been no big issue.The fresh eggs of their free run flock we're among the best I ever had.“

„The views were glorious and the location was great, though a bit of a climb from the main road.House was really spacious and comfortable for our party with plenty of room to sit together or find a quiet spot!The pool table in the games room is a great addition and gives another space and activity to keep entertained.Overall, it was a lovely spot to spend a few days and kick back and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.“

„We had a great stay at Bek’s Retreat at Mangawhai Heads. The beds were comfortable and the shower was really good. There was everything one needed and it was very peaceful. The host, Annette, was quick to come and help with the TV and she was friendly and easy to get on with. Hope to return in the not too distant future.“

„It is unique and in a nice setting. We stayed in mid winter and it had a damp smell. There were possoms and or rats in the ceiling.“

„The room was beautiful and quite large size and everything was new however there is no hook to hang your clothes as they lock the wardrobe. It has small heater and 1 thin duvet which is not enough to warm the room during winter. I have to move out after 1 hour check in as it’s very cold and don’t think I would able to sleep. On top of that the owner lives upstairs and you could literally hear lots of noise and sounds like someone dragging luggage backwards and forwards. And you could hear next ...

„The bach was very clean and well equiped.We did not need the fire, but if we had it was set and ready to light on our arrival.There were plenty of heaters to keep us warm for the cool evenings.Also plenty of warm blankets and duvets.The host Chris is very communicative and friendly.The location is ideal with lovely views of the river, and has easy access to walking tracks.Loved how this place has kept lots of its original character and been beautifully maintained.“
