„I booked an apartment a few days earlier which was not active, vrbo was fine to work with and issued a refund. This was intended to be a replacement for that fumbled rental. It was also a bad listing or scam. Never got ahold of the apartment manager and couldn’t check in. VRBO said they would give me information to handle a refund but have yet to do so. That’s 2 bad apartments in 2 attempts in 3 days. Vrbo needs to do a better job of managing their inventory and their refund process is so bad ...

They said they hadn't cleaned the unit and someone would be there soon so I had to leave at check in time. They also thew away the clothes I'd thrown in the washer since I didn't warm the host fast enough. They said they'd refund my cleaning fee for cleaning up and money for my clothes. „The inside of the apartment was decorated, and "homey". It had all the appliances/cookware that you would need for a short stay. There is a nice area about a 15-minute walk from the apartment on W 46th St for food, coffee, groceries, and to walk around. Our host was very friendly and always replied very quickly to any questions that we had. The immediate area around the apartment is not the nicest, and you do have to pay to use the washer/dryer in the apartment complex.“
