„After a long drive from Strahan it was such a delight to get to our room at the Masden. Had a front room with a view of the water. The room was modern, clean and comfortable with some added extras like a spa bath and microwave. Easy access, lots of street parking and little cafes to eat at close by. “

„The accommodation was basic but lovely and spacious. No oven but has bbq on outside seating area. They also stocked the draws with card/board games and books for the kids and beach towels, which was very handy. So close to the beach and lots of space around property and the town for the kids to ride their bikes and go for adventures. Hawley beach/shearwater have lots of lovely little community touches to enjoy and admire. I would definitely suggest visiting this place!“

„Perfect little studio for a solo stay. Lots of birds and nice outdoor spaces to enjoy. Would have also enjoyed a t.v to have a movie night, but found plenty to do without one. Very comfortable with many extra touches. Would definitely stay again. “

„The surroundings are beautiful and you really feel secluded and part of the natural bush - it really deserves its name "Bush Retreat". However, if I hadn't had a new rental car with good tyres I would've felt even more nervous at having to drive up the very, very steep hill to reach the Retreat - this should be pointed out in their reservations or on their webpage because city dwellers and visitors from areas where dirt roads are uncommon are taken unaware.
