Das Hotel ist in einen sehr schönen Wald gebettet und liegt in der Nähe zweier wunderschöner Strände. Der Check In war nicht wirklich gut, da wir nicht eingeführt wurden und dies bei so einer grosses Anlage ein Muss ist. Die Zimmer sind weder praktisch, noch schön, erfüllen aber ihren Zweck. Frühstück war gut aber Finger weg vom Essen im restaurant-wir haben selten so schlecht gegessen!

Perfektes Hotel in Strandnähe
Wir ( Mitte 20 ) waren 14 Tage in Costa Rica und das Hotel Punta Leona war unsere letzte Unterkunft vor dem Rückflug. Leider nur eine Nacht. Wir wären sehr gerne mind. eine Nacht länger dort geblieben. An der Rezeption wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Zimmer sind groß und sehr sauber und für costaricanischen Verhältnisse fast schon luxuriös. Wenn man einige Nationalparks hinter sich hat, die perfekte Unterkunft um nochmal richtig zu entspannen ob am Pool oder am Meer. Abends konnten wir zwischen à la carte Menü und Buffet wählen. Wir entschieden uns für Buffet und es gab eine sehr große Auswahl. Auch wenn es kurz war, wir haben die Zeit genossen.

Unser schlechtestes Hotel in Costa Rica
Wir waren mit unseren 2 Kindern für 2 Tage dort. Die Anlage ist viel zu groß. Wir mussten mit dem Auto zum Strand und Pool fahren. Der Strand und Pool sind schön, aber die Anlage ist total unübersichtlich. Wir mussten uns erstmal durchfragen, wo man überhaupt zu Abend essen kann. Punta Leona ist eine riesige Wohnanlage mit mehreren Hotels. Das Hotel Punta Leona ist nur ein Teil der Anlage. Was schön war, viele Leguane und Aras. Wir würden nicht mehr hingehen.

Wir waren 2 Nächte dort als Zwischenstopp und haben besonders schöne Poolanlage, Aktivitäten im Hotel (z.B. kurzer Sambakurs...) und Nähe (allerdings mit Bus oder Auto) zu weissem idyllischem Strand (Playa blanca) geliebt. Zimmer waren günstig, allerdings auch weiter weg von Pool/Strand (Auto von Vorteil) und relativ klein. Für Familien ideal. Mit Einkaufsladen in Poolnähe.

Grosse Ferienanlage die jedoch sehr viel Natur und einen sehr schönen Strand, schöne Pools bietet. Wenn man mit dem Auto unterwegs ist sehr zu empfehlen

Der Natur wegen!
Punta Leona ist einzigartig durch die Natur außenrum. Es wurde leider schon Einiges verbaut in den letzten 15 Jahren, aber die Vielfalt an Pflanzen und Tieren ist einfach toll. Die Zimmer sind für den Preis eigentlich zu teuer, aber auch der Strand Playa Blanca macht Einiges wett. Mein Tipp als sehr erfahrener Costa Rica Reisender: ein zwei Nächte in Punta Leona bleiben und dann weiter reisen, vor Allem nach Guanacaste. Da ist das eigentliche und ursprüngliche Costa Rica, zumindest abseits der wenigen Touristenorte wie Tamarindo etc.

Riesige Clubanlage mit Traumstrand
Hatten nur für eine Nacht gebucht, da wir das Hotel als Zwischenstation bei der Rückreise von der Pazifikküste nach San Jose und als Ausgangsbasis für den Nationalpark Carara genutzt haben. Um diese Clubanlage mit all ihren Angeboten auszunutzen sollte man aber eher 2 oder mehr Nächte bleiben. Auf Party darf man allerdingst nicht aus sein, denn die Anlage ist abends eher ausgestorben. Die Playa Blanca am Hotel ist der schönste Strand, den wir auf unserer Costa Rica Reise gesehen haben. Toller Sonnenuntergang! Auf der Anlage kann man schön spazieren gehen und dabei viele Tiere entdecken (Tukane, rote Aras, Affen) Frühstücksbuffet war ok.

Das Hotel besteht aus vielen, verstreuten Unterkünften. Man benötigt für aulles ein Auto. Sowohl zum Frühstück, Reception, Restaurant... Uns hat das nicht gefallen, wobei die zwei Strände und der Pool sehr schön sind.

Mitten im Regenwald zwischen Affen und Papageien
Die Punta Leona ist ein einsam gelegene Anlage mitten im Regenwald. Da wir auch in der Nebensaison da waren, waren wir "fast" alleine mit den Aras, Affen, Wasch- und Nasenbären. Die Anlage ist jedoch relativ gross und wenn alle Betten belegt sind wird es wahrscheinlich etwas eng am Badestrand. Für Tier- und Naturfreunde ist es jedoch immer eine Freude.

The staff was wonderful everywhere! I even de-magnetized my key card and the cleaning crew heard us having trouble and came over to help and got us a new key sent over. The facilities are fantastic with all the choices for food and pools, and the whole setup was beautiful and well maintained. We will be back!

Our accomodations, Arricefus, was off the normal shuttle route and required calling for a pickup. Room was spacious and well laid out. Lighting was poor, especially in bathroom. Should be one tv news channel in English

Very overwhelming place , staff are very friendly , but they don’t have enough support for transportation and makes it very inconvenient and stressful The all inclusive option is not worth it to pay due to the options are limited and not worth the price I paid for they don’t even provide water or drinks in your room This hotel I will say is a 3 star hotel, workers are very nice , but the quality of the food, transportation, facilities are not what I was expecting for the height price we paid to stay for 5 days

Un desastre mi estadía en Hotel Punta Leona Costa Rica . He tenido las peores experiencias en cuanto a servicio, el staff y hasta groserías..,desorden, desorganizacion. Sin hablar de los constantes problemas "técnicos" que tienen las habitaciones y el falso sistema "todo" incluido que es más un "incluidas ciertas cosas". El staff, los capitanes y demás no pierden oportunidad de recordarle a sus huéspedes el paquete qué compraron y que les incluye. Solo para hacerlos sentir mal (se puede escuchar a la gente en voz baja avergonzados contestando esas preguntas delante de los demás) Y aun así pretenden que se haga uno socio. Para que? Si así es la cosa pagando un montón. No me imagino siendo socio. Bien dijo un familiar. La mejor decisión que tome... Fue salirme de ese club. Y ahora entiendo por que.

El personal es bastante amable y hace tu estancia muy agradable. La comida es deliciosa. Recomendable ir con el todo incluido. Hay bastante vegetación y tienen muchas amenidades dónde puedes ver lapas, mariposas, etc. excelente lugar para vacacionar.

This property is a joke.. the main reception area is beautiful - barely anyone speaks english though - the beach, the pool are all great - the golf facility and food options are okay.. the reception check in took forever - was rough and worse of it all - since no one spoke english, no one could help us or get us umbrellas or help with the rooms while it was raining . the food options were very limited for vegetarians and worse of it all, the rooms was OLD and dates.. really pathetic - the rest room was bad - the beds were shaking - the tiles were cracked with mold by the sink. wont recommend this place

From the beginning it was a mess..almost n hour wait at front entrance to enter hotel n do check in..as we travelled by bus..then a very serious n sour recepcionist gives me the wrong room which she did not inform me about..phone was not working..no microwave which I find oatjetic n ridiculous..no towels for guests at beach area..shuttle wait too long.. restaurants close early..when i requested laye check out even if i had to pay bevause i fell n have an injury ..they rejected it..true struggle..this was my third time there n I wanted my son to see how beautiful jungle n beach there is but will be my last time..very rustic n they seem to only care about members
