Direkt am Strand (mit privatem Abschnitt) gelegen, die Zimmer mit schönem Blick über das Tote Meer; Auch wenn das Hotel schon älter ist, so ist doch alles schön und gut in Schuss. Sehr üppige Buffets sowohl Abends als auch zum Frühstück, und das Personal ist sehr nett. Top, gerne wieder.

Schlaraffenland in der Mondlandschaft
Das Hotel ist ideal für weiter im Toten Meer weil man direkten Zugang hat. Ausfluf nach Masada ist wegen der geringen Entfernung ideal. Rezeption und Empfang mittelmäßig . Essen hervorragend. Speisesaal könnte mit geringem Aufwand besser aussehen.

Service von gestern us den Preisen nach Draghi
Das Zimmer war erst ab 18.00 verfügbar - wegen Feiertag (einige Hotels in Israel schaffen das auch vorher). Mehr als 400 Euro Halbpension - da hätte ich mehr erwartet. Kleines Zimmer, alles etwas schmuddelig, der Kaffe vom Vorg#ägner klebet noch am Wasserlöcher, alles etwas heruntergekommen. Toller BLlck aus den höheren Stockwerken auf das Tote Meer, super Frühstück und super Abendessen - allerdings total überfüllt, viele Familien mit kleinen Kindern, die man auch nachts aus den Nachbarzimmern schreien hört. Riesige Eisshalle, dicht gedrängte Tische, laut und unwirtlich. Öffenbtlkiche Bereiche wirken wie ein billiges Touisristenhotel am STrand von Mallorca.

It's hard to discribe how disappointed I am after experience that stay. Nobody smile, greets, pay attention or serve you. Tried to order something in the lobby. Impossible. It might be a language problem, but the way you get treated is not acceptable

Forget the older complaints, they're doing great.
It is obvious that the hotel / staff are working hard to improve their reputation (see older comments pre renovations). It seemed like the hotel owner was spending his days observing from the lobby. And although it's not perfect (yet), overall it's great. Rooms are a good size, well appointed, food quality is surprisingly good, wine service at dinner though was not great. Not everything was finished but it made n difference to our stay. Pool area and direct access to the sea is fantastic. We would happily go back and would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone. Just watch if relying on buses, our return bus to Tel Aviv did not stop as it was full and we had to take a taxi to get to the airport on time.

In November 2022, the desk receptionist was personable. Also, there was mud in each room and the room air conditioners worked all the time. Last week, it was on Day 2 that a technician explained that they automatically shut off when the door opens/closes. Surprise innovation? In extreme heat, our room was very hot upon our return from various activities. Also, we were required to purchase mud from a retailer on Level 1-, who tried to push products on us (guaranteed to make me look young again!!!) and became annoying each time we passed her store. However, I certainly would return to Herod's. It's first rate - and Adam, a receptionist, was outstanding. Art Fredman

The hotel is very nice, they have their own beach which is amazing. The property is clean. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The only concern was a bit of a mess during breakfast. Some of the staff don't seem to speak neither English nor Hebrew and as the result gave unhelpful or incorrect answers. Other than that we've enjoyed our stay and would like to come back again. BTW, the Expedia's note that the price is including all the fees and taxes was incorrect.

Very bad hotel. Old, shabby rooms in need of refurbishment. Ham staff. Upon check-in, they issued a paper that says that the check-out before 14:00. Etc. Already at 12:00 they began to continuously ring and break on the door demanding to immediately vacate the room. Never stay at this hotel.

Har besøkt Herods, og mange ganger før denne gang, når det var Moriah og Sheraton, og var meget fornøyd med beligenhet, service og maten. Hadde problem med systemet ved utsjekking som ville gjerne belaste meg med moms. Tok alt for lang tid å finne ut av problemet.

Great hotel to enjoy the dead sea
Excellent spa hotel to benefit from the dead sea which is just in front of the hotel! Service was super friendly, esp. Sari the restaurant chef. Helped us with everything as my girlfriend has some food allergies. We will definitely come back! The only downside: the sauna is too small for such a big hotel. Would have been great if they could extent the opening hours of the spa (closes at 5pm if I remember correctly)
