The bus station is nearby. With libe 396 you get direct to the center. The bearby beach is beautiful. And the foidshoop is open long and very good. Akso the hotel restaurant offers nice foid

für das Gebotene zu teuer, mehr Motel als Hotel
Zimmer sauber und ausreichend groß, aber Betten sehr weich - Kreuzschmerzen. Wände sehr dünn - wir konnten die Nachbarn hören. Unser Balkon lag genau über dem Raucher-Außenbereich, daher sehr laut. KEIN Aufzug - mit dem schweren Koffer über eine enge Treppe in den 1. Stock. Die richtige Wassertemperatur zum Händewaschen oder Zähneputzen zu bekommen, war nicht möglich, da zwei Wasserhähne an entgegengesetzten Enden des Waschbeckens.

Zwischenstopp in SYD
Hotel in Nähe vom Flughafen (Taxi ca. 50 $). In der Nähe ist der Maroubra Beach (zu Fuß 8 Minuten). Das Personal war sehr nett und sehr serviceorientiert und hilfsbereit. Für eine Übernachtung als Zwischenstopp ist es eine gute Wahl. Neben dem Hotel gibt es einen Supermarkt und im Hotel eine Bar mit Pizzaria.

The accommodation area- reception, stairs, hallway and room all reek of stale cigarette smoke. No provision for eating anything in room. Only small kettle provided for using tea bags or instant coffee. Outside area of Hotel downstairs noisy. Roof of adjoining bottle shop blocks balcony. Bed and shower good. Gloomy decor.

Hi Jospephine, I apologise that our hotel did not meet expectations. I wish you would have discussed your issues with me during your stay.Smoking has been banned from motels for over 20 years so it does surprise me that you could smell stale cigarette smoke. I have discussed this with housekeeping. We provide free coffee and tea in all rooms. Your balcony is on the first floor and the bottle shop is on the ground floor and some 40 metres from your balcony so i am unsure of this area of concern.All of our rooms have just undergone renovations.

The owners/staff were super nice. We had flown in from the US and were early but they let is check in early so we could shower and rest. The food at the pub was great and well priced. Right next door to a grocery store if you need anything and a short walk to the beach.

Rooms - clean and kept as such on the daily basis! Bathrooms - actually 5 stars, we were impressed! Stuff and cleaning service - amazing job! Location is superb! Short pleasant walk to the Maroubra beach. Metro groceries is next door. Food in the pub is great, or you can enjoy few other places next door as well. Overall great experience for the family of 5 for 12 days in Southend Hotel. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back to our trip to Sydney!

Much better than expected. The rooms are fantastic in size, very clean and newly renovated. It does not look like much from the outside and there are only stairs to reach the rooms but inside was very quiet and comfortable.

Really good option for people travelling and staying next to the beach, We stayed there during Christmas / boxing day, and we were really pleased that there was still housekeeping during public holidays!!! Really enjoyed the room and the location.

The motel unit we stayed in was recently refurbished so was like new. The unit was reasonably quiet at night for a weekend. It was a pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach via parkland.

Great and great price
So, after looking at the prices in Sydney, we were looking for something basic. We had never been to Sydney before, so was very happy with location. It is next to a food store. Walking to the beach. The rooms a large, clean and basic. Would do it again. Could not hear bar downstairs.

Third time we have stayed at this property and we will be back again with friends in Jan 2024. We find it very convenient to our needs. Having the bistro and bar down stairs makes for an easy stay. Bathrooms could do with a little touch up and was a little miffed to find no shampoo, conditioner or shower cap in the bathroom. Otherwise a nice stay

The motel is quite old and smells not good. But for a last minute booking and for one night was ok. Sound from downstairs pub was listening. Not so clean but for 3 star motel is ok. Got what we paid So fair enough Was near the beach and next there was a local shoppings so it's quite convenience.

Location was great next to WW and chemist fruit and veggie store and chicken shop, 7/11. 5 mins drive to the beach👌 Ample parking was worried about parking out in the open but my car was safe for 2 nights. Loved the bathtub and shower in room.💯💯💯 Disliked the stairs carrying heavy luggage up and down was rough.🚫 Suggest a service lift? Disappointed in the view from balcony. All I could see was the roof of the neighbouring property and rubbish and filth on the ground between properties Thank you
