We booked a single night at the Super 8 as we were traveling through Colorado City. Due to a construction delay we arrived late around 8:15. Staff were very courteous at check in. We were notified by a note on the door that hot water should be available by 7PM. We did check that and hot water was working. We tried to turn the TV on and could not muster any channels. Two calls were made to the front desk to get the TV to work, however, that did not produce results. Front desk staff apologized. By the time we were ready to go to bed the hot water was not working and it now was running brown. So we had no TV and no drinkable or usable water. No one informed us of the water issue. I do have to report the bed and linens were comfortable, but, the highway noise, the refrigerator whir and the heating unit kept us up most of the night. Since, the water was still not hot and brown in the morning we did not shower or partake in the provided coffee. ( Was not sure what water was used to make it?). We did make mention to front desk staff of the issues and an apology was made, but, no accommodation for the inconveniences was attempted. We were informed that the city had a break in their water lines and that was the cause of the issue. Something beyond their control.... understandable. However, to not attempt to bring some resolve for the basic services that were missing seemed uncaring. Another TV or room provided, bottled water or a price reduction for the inconvenience.
