We booked a suite with a jacuzzi tub and paid the extra for the 4 night stay. When we checked in that evening, went to use the tub and the water was brown. Called the front desk, lady who answered stated that that room had not been used all winter so the water just needs run. Then said let us know if there are any other issues. First, if u know the room had not been used all winter, would it make sense for your team to go give the room a very good once over PRIOR to renting it out. Next morning my wife is getting ready and goes to use the hair dryer and it starts to shoot sparks out of it!!!! No safety issue there. I don’t nit pick, especially on older hotels, however, there is very little concern by this team. The breakfast each morning was very good, but not enough with all the other issues.

I have addressed this oversight with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure that all rooms are checked more rigorously in the future.Additionally, I apologize for the malfunctioning hair dryer and the safety concern it posed. This is unacceptable, and I have instructed our maintenance team to perform a comprehensive check of all in-room appliances to prevent such occurrences.I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast offerings. However, I understand that this does not make up for the issues you faced. Please know that we are taking immediate steps to rectify these problems and improve our services.

We enjoyed the indoor pool since the weather was poor. It gave the kids and us an evening away from home for some fun and a break after some very much needed family fun, a break in a busy soccer weekend and another busy next day. We also loved that there was a very nice restaurant that was family friendly with friendly staff that wasn’t expensive at all right on the property. Things we didn’t like some could be improved others it’s just take it as it is no big deal. Least of problems but doesn’t look great is furniture that’s got pieces out of it. Other things that needs improvement is it looked clean and smelled clean although carpet was in sad shape in places but mirrors was smeared really bad as well as the tv. We didn’t use either but it stuck out. The beds were very uncomfortable and usually we love beds in hotels, there was no privacy area whatsoever besides the bathroom even a divider would do for changing clothes. This was a problem especially since there was no fan in the bathroom it got hot after showers and difficult to dress and we had our two sons with us. Also the sink in the hall instead of the bathroom was disruptive. Besides these things we enjoyed our stay!

We have stayed here a few tomes. It's convienient off the major highway with places to eat, shop and relax. My issues were with the room cleaning. My wife actually had cracker crumbs in her bed. We did not eat in the room. The bathroom bathtub fixture were cruddy. I took pictures of them and the crumbs my wife took out of her bed and showed the girl at the desk. They use to have a big variety for the free breakfast and now it was reduced to one counter and the eggs were cold. I use to rave about this Days Inn, but we won't be staying there again. I gave it and average rating because of the shape of the property and view. Our stay is not what it had been in the past.

Booked a room with a sofa but received one with a small chair. Room was very small with a small tv. The worst part was the sewer smell in the bathroom. Even worse, the staff didn’t care. The man I talked to upon checking out acted like he got irritated because I told him about it. Also there was a major fire hazard in our room! The outlet beside of the chair only had one working plug in. The outlet behind the night stand with the phone didn’t work so an orange extension cord was run from behind the chair to the items on the night stand. I also took pictures of this. This also made the desk clerk irritated instead of being concerned. He also could have cared less about our experience. He just wanted that high price for a small horrible room!

Comfy beds, fluffy towels, & great breakfast
Traveling through WV. Have stayed here before and will stay again. Beds were comfy with great pillows. The towels were the softest and fluffiest I've ever experienced at a hotel. Water pressure in the shower made me want to just stay in there. Breakfast was plentiful and was served in a dining room with a wonderful view. Great place!

Staff was very courteous and helpful. I had a late check in and the gentleman was right there and got me into my room within 2 minutes. I wish the restaurant had longer hours but other than that this was a great place to stay. Breakfast was good and the biscuits are amazing. I would definitely stay here again

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the pressure of shower was very good, the bathroom need to be updated. There were two lights. Each light had only one bulb on (should be 2). Called front desk, no one came to fix it.

We were there for a Scrapbook retreat, there were far too many restrictions on using the Conference Rooms to make it enjoyable. No one was overly friendly.

TERRIBLE! Beds are worn out. Tub are VERY slick. We were in the conference room and made to leave by midnight. I personally had thousands of $$ in that room and it does not lock. We were not allowed ANY food, snacks or drinks other than water in the room. We weren’t allowed to bring food into the conference area to eat unless it was from restaurant which only had hours of 6:30 A to 9:30A and closed until 5P until 7P. How can we get food for lunch that we can eat inside the hotel when the restaurant is closed? This place sucks!!!!! In more ways than one.

Hello,I wanted to thank you for taking the time to write a review. We do have a conference director that does go over the policies of renting out a conference room. We have contracts drawn up that go over the specific times for those rentals. We do have a catering staff that does accommodate food service for conference rentals, I am assuming this was not an added feature that someone wanted when they rented out the conference room. Our Dining hours are 5pm to 9pm

From check in to check out my experience at the Days Inn in Flatwoods, WV was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and the biscuits were especially good. I enjoyed my time at the Days Inn.

Large hotel with a spacious lobby. We were in the North tower. Room was quiet but the furniture was dated and worn. Bath did not have any grab bars. Breakfast was not appealing. Entry to our room was difficult due to lock and handle issue.
