Heart Haus on the Hill - Near Hocking Hills, Updated/Private/Comfortable!

Close to Hocking Hills, our updated cabin sits high up on a hill about 60 ft above the road in a very private setting. Half the fun is getting up here & once you are, you will enjoy complete privacy & solitude! Two large decks w/adorable heart railings, a balcony, secluded firepit, three levels of living space, cozy bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms & well-equipped kitchen. Only a short drive to Old Man's Cave & the entire Hocking Hills region, nearby lakes, parks, fishing, wineries, shopping & dining! And we have good cell service coverage at our cabin and guess what else? Doordash delivers here!

Perfect for a family, ladies getaway, besties getaway, holidays, anniversary or couple’s retreat. There is plenty of space meant for relaxation and comfort and room for everyone! It’s a hidden gem nestled under a canopy of mature trees and convenient to Rt 33 in southern Fairfield County just 20 minutes to all that Hocking Hills has to offer.

LOWER LEVEL: With the entrance into the finished basement level, you’ll find a family room, dining table (perfect for a puzzle or crafting) and children's play area with games, tee pee, half bathroom and a bedroom (bedroom 3) with queen size bed, 32” smart TV, dresser and a desk or vanity. Bedroom 3 is a great place for an office if you have to work while on vacation.

MAIN LEVEL: One level up (the main level) offers a large living room and dining room with 50” smart TV and an open kitchen with all you’ll need for meal prep including a pantry and well-equipped coffee & tea bar. A sitting area in the kitchen is the perfect spot for a cup of coffee or tea looking out into the woods. Panoramic views from the living and dining room are breathtaking. We also have a booster seat/high chair for a small child. Access to the decks, firepit and charcoal grill are on this main level. The full bathroom, also on this level, features a tub/shower combination.

UPPER LEVEL: The upper level of the Heart Haus features a primary bedroom (bedroom 1) with comfortable king size bed, 32” smart TV, dresser, closet, vanity and private balcony. The vanity also makes a great desk to work from. The additional bedroom across the hall (bedroom 2) offers two full size beds, dresser, closet and reading chair. Each bedroom has been thoughtfully designed for your comfort in mind. Please note there is not a bathroom on this upper level. The balcony off of BR 1 is a very special place & overlooks the hills and amazing sunsets. You're up at the top of the trees from this balcony.

The wrap around decks provide space for outdoor dining, patio seating, charming fairy lights, a balcony, firepit & a charcoal grill all for your private use. This secluded location offers picturesque views of the night sky & surrounding hills. We also have a few white tail deer who sometimes make their appearance.

You’ll clearly see why our cabin is called the Heart Haus…you’ll feel the love throughout. From the German inspired heart railings around the decking to the hints of love in nearly every room, you feel right at home for a perfect cabin getaway!

Over one acre of privacy in the woods with an entire cabin to yourself and hardly another home in sight! You’ll be close to Hocking Hills, hiking, fishing, canoeing, shopping, dining, wineries, breweries, convenient to Rt 33 and situated between Lancaster and Logan. This location is just about 40 minutes to Athens and Ohio University too so a great place to stay when you visit your college kids.

GENERAL INFO: Central air & heating, towels/linens, pillows/blankets, washer/dryer, hair dryer, iron/board, starter pack of paper towels, toilet paper, trash can liners, k-cups, tea, creamer and sweetener. Shampoo/conditioner and body wash provided. FREE high speed wifi throughout the home. Our cabin is not wheelchair accessible and there are two sets of staircases throughout the entire home. Small library and games for your use during your stay. All TVs are Samsung Smart TVs and you will need to log in and out of your streaming service as there is no cable service here. There are hundreds of Samsung TV channels automatically available. Automatic generator and on-demand hot water.

KITCHEN: Cooking basics (and then some), dinnerware, silverware, glassware, stemless wine glasses, mugs, pots/pans, microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, slow cooker, toaster, hand mixer, electric kettle, Hamilton Beach Flexbrew 2-way that can brew K-cups or coffee grounds for a full pot (bring your own coffee grounds, #4 filters and additional k-cups if desired).

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING? We provide linens, bath towels, hand soap, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, dish soap and a starter pack of the following: K-cups, cream & sweetener, black tea, toilet paper, paper towels and trash can liners. You will want to bring the following:

GUEST ACCESS:
You will have access to the entire cabin and property.

RULES:
- Check-in 4pm, Checkout 10am.
- No parties.
- No pets. No exceptions.
- No smoking, vaping or use of any illegal drugs inside. There is a designated smoking area outside.
- Use of indoor wood burning stove is strictly prohibited.
- $200 fee if security camera is tampered with in any way
- For each additional person over 6 guests, a $20/person fee will be charged per day. Max of 8 guests.
~ All trash must be tied up in trash bags and disposed of in the outside trash cans provided, no loose trash in the cans or a $50 fee will be charged.

AGE 25 OR OLDER TO BOOK: The guest booking the property must be 25 years of age or older and present during the stay. We reserve the right to request a photo or scan of a government-issued photo ID. The guest who books must stay at the property--you may not book for others if you do not intend to stay at the property.

MINIMUM: 2 night stay minimum. 10% discount with a 7 night stay.

STEEP DRIVEWAY: Please be aware that the driveway up to our cabin is steep. There are two flat areas for parking or feel free to back right up to the side door of the cabin. Some guests choose to stay parked up at the door of our cabin. **Four wheel drive or all wheel drive is highly recommended in the winter**. The hills in this part of Ohio are what make it so special. Low profile cars are not recommended.

PARKING: Private driveway (4 vehicles max).

TERRAIN: Feel free to take in the natural surroundings of the home including the beautiful and mature oak trees, rock outcroppings and unique nature of this property. Keep yours and your guest's safety in mind at all times as there are small drop offs that can be dangerous. It’s also the woods so there will be bugs, ticks, poison ivy and all that comes with the great outdoors. You have to be able to climb stairs to enjoy our cabin.

GOALS: Our goal is for you to have a place to retreat from the crowds that can occur in the Hocking Hills region, a cabin that will be clean, comfortable & allowing space and coziness for everyone at a location that is convenient to all that this region of Ohio has to offer. A reliable internet and cell phone service is also bonus here (most cell carriers get good service here) and having space to work while you're here if you have to work while on vacation is a big bonus. Your comfort is our priority and making memories at the Heart Haus will hopefully be something you get the chance to do.
