Ski Trail Condo 205 by Mountain Vacation Lodging offers the convenience of a true ski in ski out location right in the heart of the ski area base. Not only can you ski to and from the property, but you can walk anywhere in the base area with ease including shopping, grocery, a brewery and dining. The condo was thoroughly renovated in October 2023 filled with completely new finishes and brand new furnishings offering a cozy mountainside retreat.
The Property: Check out the gondola soaring directly overhead as you enter this cozy slopeside escape. Upon entry to the unit you will be greeted by a spacious main living area that includes a gas fireplace, dining area and gear nook with a bench. Kick off your ski boots and relax on the new cozy couch in front of the large flat screen TV while the fireplace keeps you warm. Enjoy a home cooked meal from the full kitchen while looking out the front window at the ski slopes and the gondola cars passing by. Right next to the fireplace is a full size Murphy Bed that folds out with ease - forget sleeping on an uncomfortable sleeper sofa, this bed offers you the support and comfort of a real mattress that sleeps 2. Fold the Murphy Bed up in seconds to enjoy the full living area space.
The kitchen features nice hardwood cabinets, solid slab granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. As you head down the hallway, you'll find the newly renovated bathroom. The vanity is built in off the hallway, and this separation from the toilet and shower area allows the two areas to be used by multiple people while maintaining privacy. The large walk in shower features beautiful tile and the fixtures & finishes of the vanity have a stylish look and feel. The private bedroom is big with a new King size bed, bedside tables, a rocking chair, closet, luggage stands and dresser. The closet has plenty of room for clothing and folding luggage racks offer easy access to your things if you prefer that for storage. Relax in bed and watch TV or just enjoy the view through the large bank of windows. Don't forget to take a dip in the hot tub just steps from the unit while you watch the snowflakes fall and the gondola cars pass by. Both mattresses are brand new for winter 2023-2024. Wake up refreshed and recharged for another day in paradise!
Location: The condo is located slopeside on Ski Trail Lane and the Stampede ski trail. You can ski or walk down to either of the Gondolas or the Christie Peak Express Chair, all within about 200 meters of the front door. Find Gondola Square within a few minutes walk offering shopping, dining, grocery, a brewery, ski tickets and more. Go ice skating, night skiing, grab some food & drinks and enjoy the many events that take place right at the mountain base area or catch the free bus that picks up just steps from the property to head to downtown Steamboat. Don't miss the free concerts, the Cowboy Downhill, the Cardboard Classic, the Splashdown Pondskim, Hot AirBalloon Glows and more happening within walking distance from this unit. Arrival, Access, and Parking: – Accessing the property: From the driveway to the entry of the condo there is one flight of stairs. There is no elevator. – Parking: The building has complimentary outdoor parking that is available for guests. Spaces are not reserved or assigned and are available on a first come first served basis. Parking permits are provided in the condo for a maximum of 2 vehicles. – 4WD / AWD recommendation: Please note that your route to the Steamboat Springs area may include a mountain pass. The roads in Steamboat Springs which lead to and from this property are generally easy to navigate and are well maintained, but do include some hills. When traveling during seasons when snow is likely or expected, and in particular when driving in winter weather conditions, 4 Wheel Drive or All Wheel Drive and tires with good tread are recommended.

Love the cozy spot
Easy In/out to slopes. Walkable to apres-ski. The kitchen had the best cooking products: pots/pans, containers, crockpot, etc, I’ve seen in most of my rentals over the years. Kudos to owner! Also MVL was very responsive when I sent any emails

Convenient and Cozy
The unit was as advertised and had everything a couple would need for a week of skiing. The location exceeded our expectations. The ski lockers are roughly 50 paces from the ski access, which is just up the hill from the Steamboat Gondola. Of all of the SISO units we have rented in the past, it was by far the most convenient.

Spring Break Ski Trip
The condo was conveniently located to the Gondola. We were able to simply walk down to the ski resort area several nights to have dinner. We skied in and out all five days of skiing. The condo was as advertised. We could tell it had been renovated. The hot tub was working when we stayed, and we used it everyday.
We would definitely stay here again. They do need to upgrade their cooking ware. Overall great place.

Main reason for the 3 star (instead of 4 or 5) is there was no entry code provided to get into the condo and I had to call “emergency services” for them to provide me a code.
We did get in eventually though and the place is nice. Lacking in some larger pans for cooking but we made it work.
Another draw back was the hot tub was like warm and unfortunately we weren’t able to use it after a long day of skiing. Not the end of the world but not the best either.
Proximity to the gondola was great though. I’d stay here again but wouldn’t pay more than what we did.
