Only thing to note, there is only 1 aircon unit that is in the main lounge covering the whole property. „Super friendly staff. They even picked me up from the station because I arrived late in Hakodate. They also helped with sightseeing planning. The Japanese style room was quiet, big and had everything I needed. The shared bathroom was always clean. The hotel is 5 minutes from the station and therefore a good starting point for sightseeing. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, and basic amenities like a fridge and kettle were provided. Tap water is safe to drink in Japan, so that’s a big plus. While there’s no in-room coffee, I brought my own instant coffee. Alternatively, there’s a lounge on the 12th floor offering green tea and basic drip coffee—what it lacks in strength, the lovely view makes up for.
The tram stop is just outside, giving easy access to major sights, but I also walked a lot and really enjoyed exploring the area on foot.
Lastly, a small detail: I kindly pointed out some dust in the A/C vent to one of the housekeeping staff, who was very sweet and receptive. It’s clear the staff takes pride in maintaining a welcoming and clean environment.
