The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
The Good, the Bad, the Ugly from our 2 week stay.The Good: Indian Rocks is a nice location. Less touristy than Clearwater (north) but still plenty of options for food and the white sand beach is relaxing. Check out the Tampa City Pass if you stay in the area.The house had space to spread out. The beach was clean and the water temps for end of June were very warm. The best part of this trip were the regular dolphin sightings in the Gulf at sunrise and sunset.The Bad: Water clarity was mediocre. Couldn't see anything beyond 3' deep on the best day. The waves here are too small for boogie boarding. The house kept having things go wrong. The door knob broke on our son's room and he was locked in for over an hour. The airflow in one of the bedrooms was non-existent. Bikes in pic were in disrepair. The AC broke down and we had to sleep one night with windows open - upper 80 degree temps in the house with humidity - wife was not happy! Survey team showed up one day w no notice scope location for future pool. Repairmen showed up another time to work on gutters.The Ugly: The interruptions!!! If you lease a beach house for 2 weeks you do not want to continuously juggle people you don't know coming in and out of the property. Do we take our valuables today or not? The kicker is when a man pulled up with California plates and fishing gear claiming to the owner and left his car in the driveway. Turns out he was... Interruptions soured the whole experience. So much for privacy.
