Honestly, it was awful. Found a bug on the bed as soon as I walked into the room. We booked 2 rooms for $400 dollar each . One of the rooms was great the other one was a 4x4 double room no view. What a disappointment. I wanted to talk to Matt ( manager) but he was not available. Not coming again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay on property. Having only one elevator near our room got a little difficult during check in and check out times. We never did get a chair at the pool. People put towels on chairs and walk away. There is no way to use that area to relax. We made the best of what was there, but I think that area needs more monitoring. Front Desk and staff throughout the resort were wonderful. We would definitely come back to visit.

The facility has so many activities that are great. The rooms are a bit over priced for quality but the staff is amazing and the price includes so much it’s still worth it!

We stayed for a weekend three days and the experience was amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful regardless of their role on the resort and very above and beyond!!!We will definitely stay here again, the only issue were the elevators for the main building were broken most of the trip but there were other elevators available with a bit of a walk.

Absolutely love the atmosphere! Super fun activities for the family to participate in all day long. Love all the beach fun opportunities. The main Tradewind rooms could use some up grades but they were very clean. The elevators near our room were broken off and on throughout the week. Which was a little frustrating at times. We were spoiled in the past and stayed at the Rumfish. This facility was closed to a private group while we were there. That was disappointing. But we will definitely be back and hope the Rumfish is available to book next time.

Front desk sent us to concierge for room directions. They walked us over the entire property looking for our room. Apparently no one knows. After 45 minutes we found it. Elevators were at 1 per bank unless you were at my room then they were all out. Had to wait for 30 minutes for an elevator as this was the only way my 84 yr old mother (who I brought here for her birthday) could get down. Our room’s bathroom door wouldn’t shut so no privacy showering or using the bathroom. We got a text warning a machine would detect smoke in the room but they can’t identify loud banging non stop thru out the night. On top of that not one person but Ms. Judy greeted us with a smile or even greeted us at all, our entire stay. I paid over $800 for what I expected to be a relaxing birthday for my mom and instead we had this experience.

Amenities were excellent, location was perfect, pool and beaches were above average. It was also great that you got as many lounge chairs on the beach included as you needed, they didn't nickel and dime you. The rooms could use some updating, and I don't think beachfront rooms should have carpets, it makes them smell a little musty. But that would be my only negative on the place.

This property is in serious need of an update, absolutely everything looks old, falling apart or cheaply fixed. Pools are overcrowded, beds are uncomfortable, blankets full of hairs, elevators not working… was not a pleasant vacation.

Lots to do for young families. Beach water slide very fun. Huge beach. Very big hotel that sadly had RumFish sister property closed off due to a private function (for next 10 days! Beware). Small pools and hot tubs for number of guests without the advertised room to spread out. Felt gypped even though they did move main zip line and campfire over. That's shady to advertise all these facilities and not prewarn that many will be off limits. Apathetic beach staff. Couldn't get a room til 5:20 pm. Not what I'd hoped, in other words.

So much fun and family friendly. Perfect for kids. Tons of activities. Nice rooms, beautiful pools and great access to beach and cabanas. Some construction going on around hotel and elevators were slow and often stopped working. That was the only negative. Super friendly staff too

The staff lacked hospitality and the property was overall very disappointing. The elevators each day were not functioning, one was always out of order and at a point both were. We also noticed in one of the elevators its temporary operational permit was a week expired. To say we did not feel safe taking these elevators was an understatement and we ended up using the stairs for our 6th floor room. Speaking of our room… toilet didn’t flush well, we told the front desk and they said they would have someone come take a look but we had the same issue that night so either they never came or didn’t fix it. You could also not fully close the bathroom door as it didn’t fit correctly in the door jam. Now onto the noise. All day and all night their was a very loud noise that would come and go in intervals, it almost sounded like their was an air compressor in our ceiling. We did not get good nights sleep either nights of our stay. We asked about the noise on our first day and were told it was the elevator work that was being done which was not true as it went on all night. At the end of the day we felt like their was a large lack of effort to address our concerns with the room. The grounds were a bit lack luster and unkept. The pools were small and 1 of them is right in front of large renovations that are going on. So, if you enjoy the noise of jack hammers and saws, this was the pool for you. We walked to the adult pool at rum fish and found 7 kids under 5 in it.

They did not have a room until 7pm when check in is at 4pm. Came to room after eating to find maid laying in couch watching the football game . After the maid situation we had the worst service the rest of the stay as if we were wrong for telling on the maid . We got dirty looks from staff daily . Then at the end we went to get ice coffees and the barista refused to out cream and sugar in coffee even though they did it for the people in front of us . Threw coffee away and ran from this hotel .

We live this place and have been sevèral times. The staff are great and its clean. We love having the kichenette. The rooms are starting to look a bit dated but the property is making some great improvements to its facilities. The beach is always amazing and location is perfect

Check in was at 4p. We sat around and didn’t get our room keys until 5 min before 6 pm. We had dinner reservations at 6 that we wanted to freshen up for but we had our luggage with us sitting in the lobby for almost 2 hours. VERY disappointed with that! Even if we wanted to “take advantage of the amenities”, how could you change into a bathing suit, cover up etc and what do you do with the luggage. A whole afternoon/evening wasted.

The island grand is showing its age. The beach canopies are in rough condition, the rooms need updating. The staff was kind, but overall feeling understaffed. We had fun overall, and the kids were safe to explore the resort.
