The beach view is awesome! Great location across from John's Pass. The showers are very outdated with both requiring stepping into bathtubs. The floors were dirty and unit is decorated with cheaper furniture.

Great location. Close to shopping and the boardwalk. We did have an issue in the condo with lights not turning on in the Second bedroom and bathroom. Also, the VRBO extra fees for this condo were kinda high. The elevator was also really slow.

Awesome time

We do a girls weekend every year. This year was the best! The view. The location. The condo itself. All outstanding! Only bad thing I have to say is the FEES for this place are way way way way out of line. They literally DOUBLE the cost of the condo. This will be a deterrent when we are looking for next year.

Great condo unit

Have stayed on Madeira Beach for many years now. This condo unit was nice. Beds/mattresses were excellent. Almost as good as my tempurpedic at home! Had all the amenities that were needed. Actually a few left behind beach items in one of the closets. That was nice! Management staff responded quickly to a slight towel shortage - just had to wait till Monday but still quick. Pool larger than most we have stayed at. Beach awesome to walk. Plenty of restaurants close by. One of our favorites is The Frog Pond for breakfast in North Redington Beach - just a few miles north. Also Sweet Brewnette great for breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.

Sandy Shores Condo

The location is directly across from John's Pass which was great. We enjoyed the Seafood Festival daily without needing to worry about driving/parking. It's also an oceanfront condo which made for nice beach walks. The condo is nice and supplied with all of the necessities. We had plenty of space and it was comfortable. The elevator was a bit of a challenge as sometimes it wouldn't go to the 5th floor so we used the stairs from the 4th up. Other times it didn't work at all so we huffed the stairs. The parking is assigned and was never an issue. We would definitely stay at Sandy Shores again.

Mostly good!

I noticed that a previous guest left their toenail trimmings on the balcony. Day 2 I woke to find a palmetto bug in the dining area. Day 3 palmetto bug in kitchen. Day 4 palmetto bug in kitchen. I killed all 3. Other than that the place was very nice, great view. Sad that there was a smoker close by polluting our balcony air. This was our 2nd stay and would consider staying again in spite the issues mentioned.

Location is Great!

The location, pool, beach, restaurants and shopping were great. Our condo was just okay. The manager never gave us the code for our room. Luckily the door was unlocked and we left it unlocked our entire stay. One key and no code helps a family of 4. The pictures were all on a closet, paint splatters everywhere, clear sealant all over the glass table and chairs on the balcony. The curtain rod was hanging by a tread, clearly not hug correctly. The washer beeped nonstop and I asked the manager to check it out only to find it unplugged. Overall, the place was livable, but well overpriced for what we stayed in.

Great View, Great Location, Very roomy!

We loved the condo and location. It’s a large space with plenty of room. The view was beautiful, you can see the sunsets from your balcony. So many things are within walking distance, especially John’s Pass Boardwalk right across the street. The pool is just big enough and the beach is perfect, not too wide so it was easy for the kids to walk to the water without getting worn out. The mattresses are firm memory foam which I liked but my husband hated. A few chairs and an umbrella are in the condo and we’re great to have for the beach. Be sure to bring your own beach towels! Only cons: you have to have a code for everything. The elevator or stairs, gates and door (all different codes). So make sure to take a screen shot so you don’t get stranded! The tubs are showing a lot of wear and dinginess, the master sink had some minor repair issues. Otherwise, a wonderful condo! Very friendly residents as well.

Do not rent this unit! This unit is nasty! Hasn't had a good cleaning in a long time, the front door looks like two pigs were wresting against it, the floors were half swept and mopped, the base boards have a layer of dirt and hair on them, the couch is supposed to be a white or off white, it's a dirty brown, furniture is broken, doors on closets are broken, both showers need scrubbed, and the outside table hasn't been wiped down all summer. HVAC has a moldy, musty smell. We had to wash the bedding, coffee pot had old coffee in it, and we had to wash every dish we pulled out of a cabinet or drawer. no washer and dryer in unit, 2 for every load washed and dried. Seemed to have newer beds and the location is good but not worth the money. all correspondents come from John's pass condos... terrible customer service. when we arrived, we were sent the wrong code for the door and after calling the emergency line 6 times, I finally was able to reach them through email, and the correct code was sent. We left a day early. This place is a nightmare!

Had to be out of our place two out of our 4 days!

Me and a couple of my girlfriends were in need of a vacation bad, we wanted nothing more than to sleep in and go down to the beach and relax all day, we booked this condo because we thought it would be perfect to roll out of bed and chill on the balcony in the mornings while eating breakfast then head out to beach whenever we were ready to do so, well when we got to the place there was a note on the door saying we had to be out of our place by 9 am to 3 pm on the last two days of our stay! To say that put a damper on our plans was an understatement!! There was loud noises going on the entire stay because of renovations! Elevator didn’t need the required code anyone could use it which made us feel unsafe! We made several phone calls to VRBO and the host and was finally given a refund for those two days, but the condition of the place which we were all willing to overlook because of the location and the amazing views kind of started to really make us upset, dirty, dirty floors, we had to keep our shoes on because of how black our feet would get if we didn’t, the fridge was all smeared with what looks like it was wiped down with a dirty rag, the second bathroom tub was disgusting with what looked like hair in the drain which made it drain slow, the curtain rod in the main bedroom were hanging by a thread and crooked, i could go on and on. Definitely needs some TLC. The views from the balcony and location is the only good things i could say about this place!

Disappointed

Overall this was the most run down property I have rented through VRBO. The condo overall was very poorly unkept. There were lightbulbs missing and burned out. Broken patio furniture on deck and ripping and tearing kitchen chairs. Knobs were very loose on cabinets and this was the least stocked kitchen I have stayed in with chipped up plates and very old kitchenware. The furniture was very worn in to sit on. The vertical blinds in both the bedroom and living patio has broken blinds and didn’t open right. Our tensions rod shower curtains were older and fell down every time we went to open the curtain. The elevator for the unit was not working the first day. We had to call maintenance for an emergency water issue and we had to manually turn our water on and off until they could fix it later the next day. I have paid less to rent larger condos for longer stays in much nicer and larger units and this was just very disappointing to rent overall. We loved the overall area, beach, and John’s pass village were this building is located but would not rent from this building again.

The view makes the place!

Overall great location. We got a call 45 mins before check in that our place would not be available because of something wrong with the power. They did put us up in a very nice suite fairly close to where we were supposed to be, but it was still a huge inconvenience to have to unpack and repack and move a day later. We also payed for beachfront, and missed out on two days of that. The place could use some Updates. Dishwasher does not work, so most dishes had to be rewashed by hand. We did find some cockroaches in the condo as well. We had a couple problems with the key pad, it’s lengthy to remember and once it would not work, and we had to call as we were locked out of the condo. Pool and beach were great, so this is what makes the place worth staying!
