Extreme Enttäuschung inkl. Gäste im Bad
Freuten uns extrem auf dieses Hotel, war auch das teuerste in unserer Reise. Leider wurden wir extrem enttäuscht. Schon bei der Anreise, war der Empfang sehr kalt. Die Mitarbeiterin war sehr demotiviert. Hotelzimmer, hatte diverse Abnutzungserscheinungen. Das Auto konnte man nur parkieren lassen für 40 Dollar die Nacht. Unglaubliche abzocke! Die Aussicht war der absolute Hammer. Wir hatten sogar Silberfische im Badezimmer. Wir waren sehr schockiert für den Zustand und was für knapp CHF 400.-- pro Nacht geboten wird. Wir werden leider bei der nächsten Reise nach Florida auf dieses Hotel verzichten. Gibt es in der Preisklasse einige bessere.

There is currently a massive construction project on their way to add a second building that will connect with a bridge to the Opal Sands. Contractors and noise definitely impact of vacation and I’ve never stayed in a hotel in any country that did not offer a discount on the rate when they were under construction at their hotel. The fact that we were charged full price during this was extremely disappointing.

Everything at the hotel is exceptionally clean. Food at the pool and Sandbar is very good. The Gulf is right in front of the pool, but beach access is down 2 flights of stairs and on the side of the hotel.

Beautiful resort. Great little perks: morning snacks, afternoon snacks, ice cream afternoons, pool/beach towels, extra pillows etc. The only downside that we had NO idea about was the construction. They are expanding the opal resort across the street and during the day the construction was a little loud. However, it did not ruin the beautiful views of the gulf coast waters, nor did it bother us being at the beach in the cabanas. I would definitely recommend this resort and the location.

We reserved a King room gulf front but when we arrived they gave us a room with two queen beds without explaining that they over booked. After seeing what they gave us, I inquired why we didn’t get what we reserved and paid for and they didn’t give a good answer but offered a partial refund and breakfast. Not a good experience.

Property and staff were great. Just read fine print on extra costs. They charge $42 per day to park your car, $35 for resort fees, and then mega taxes. So it is about an extra $160 per day on top of the price you pay for hotel. It was a busy time and our cost per night was $669. That was a bit of a splurge for us at that price but after all said an done we were at $729
