Do you wanna build a Sandcastle Unit 206 (3/2 condo with direct Gulf of Mexico views)

**Attention: Ready to rent!! The pool has reopened. The spa/hot tub is still closed until further notice. Some landscaping and paving projects are still underway.**

This 3 bedroom 2 bathroom beachfront condo is right on the sands of Indian Shores and sleeps up to 8 guests. Located in Sandcastle I and on the 2nd floor this unit has direct Gulf of Mexico views and nice green lush landscaping right in front of the unit. The shared heated pool is located to the right of the unit. The balcony is covered with a fan and plenty of seating options to take in the gorgeous views.

Kitchen: Updated and fully stocked for cooking! Refrigerator with ice/water dispenser, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, toaster, tea kettle, and a drip coffee pot. Basic dishes and utensils are provided. Basic spices, cooking oil, and coffee filters and/or pods are not always available.

Dining Area: The dining room has a 6-top dining table.

Living Room: Has a nice seating area with a Queen sleeper sofa, TV, ceiling fan, and balcony access with plenty of seating and tables.

Bedroom #1: The master bedroom is located in the back left of the condo and directly faces the Gulf of Mexico. It has a king-sized bed, ceiling fan, TV, dresser, nightstands with lamps, 2 closets, and an en-suite bathroom.

Bathroom #1 (En-suite): The bathroom has a tiled stand-up shower, a high-top vanity, and extra counter space for getting ready.

Bedroom #2: Has a Queen-sized bed, nightstand with lamp, ceiling fan, TV, and a window that lets in nice lighting.

Bathroom #2: The guest bathroom is full-size with a toilet, vanity, and stand-up tiled shower.

Bedroom #3: Has a full-sized bed, ceiling fan, TV, nightstands with lamps, dresser, closet, and a window with nice lighting.

Laundry: Full-size washer and dryer located in the hallway closet right off the guest bathroom.

Outdoors: The heated shared pool is on the ground level and to the North of this unit. There is one free reserved parking space in the parking garage.

*Elevator on property! This unit is on the 2nd floor. The ground floor is parking.

Important Information

House Rules:
1. No smoking/vaping in the unit. No illegal substances on the premises. Violation of this policy will result in a smoke remediation fee ranging from $200-$500 depending on the severity.
2. No parties or events.
3. No pets. Please notify management of any service animals.
4. Adhere to the local noise ordinances.

Renting Requirement Policy: The guest booking the reservation must occupy the unit for the duration of the stay and is required to be 25 years of age minimum. Adults may not rent a unit for anyone under the age of 25, they must be actively present at the rental unit.

Maximum Guest Occupancy Policy: Adherence to occupancy policies and limits is strictly enforced. The guest count may not exceed the maximum guest occupancy at any point in time, including any pre-approved day guests. These policies are in place for your safety and the protection of the vacation home and the vacation rental industry. Violation of these policies may result in immediate eviction with complete forfeiture of all monies paid. Please contact management to request pre-approval for any day guests. Additional guests that will exceed the maximum occupancy will automatically be denied.

Toiletries: Guests should bring their own toiletries, dishwasher pods, and laundry pods. Each unit will have two rolls of toilet tissue per bathroom, soap for every sink, a trash bag, and at least one roll of paper towels in the kitchen. 2 dishwasher pods and 2 laundry pods are also provided if applicable to the rental. We provide one set of bath towels per guest. For guest convenience, we also provide beach towels. All linens are provided.

Parking: This unit provides 1 parking space. Guest parking is very limited and on a first come first serve basis.

The local area and towns have plenty to do during your stay such as local eateries, shopping, and watersports. The surrounding local area has some great day trips: Florida Botanical Gardens in Largo featuring holiday lights late Nov-Jan,1st, John's Pass Village and Boardwalk, Tampa Lowry Zoo, Florida Aquarium, Clearwater Aquarium, Sunken Gardens, Dinosaur World, Ellenton Outlet Malls, Children's Museums, enjoy a Tampa Bay Ray's game at Tropicana Field, a Buccaneers Football game in Tampa, or check out some of the pro baseball teams during their local Spring Training, also Disney World and downtown Disney is just two hours away.

Great view, and typical Florida condo. Decor was nice, but needs some updating with doors and drawers. Need to upgrade glassware ( all plastic, no wine glasses). We picked this space as our son was on crutches and would need to work a few days. Unfortunately, there were some renovations and our view was blocked for a few days. And then they closed the pool the last 4 days to replace the pavers, so it was constant beeping of bobcats with lots of traffic moving back and forth- so not very relaxing and peaceful. We also had issues with no hot water the first two days, and issues with the cable and internet, but they were resolved quickly. We understand repairs and renovations need to take place, especially after the hurricanes, but there should be some monetary compensation for the inconveniences-as these were pretty significant. We did enjoy the area, and I would try this spot again, as it was a great location.

Had a maintenance issue with a patio door early on. Contacted them and they set up to review and repair in a timely manner. No disruption to my vacation stay. With the slightly cooler nights we enjoyed the hot tub every night.

Our stay was exactly what we were hoping for — quick easy access to the beach and the pool. It also provided the perfect location for watching the most amazing sunsets. The property offered luggage and grocery carts which were so helpful. We had a covered parking space which was nice as well. It is convenient to restaurants bars and shopping. There have been some reviews complaining about the AC. I don’t know if repairs were made or not but we did not have any issues with the AC. We kept the blinds closed until almost sunset and that helped tremendously. Keeping the blinds/curtains opened the house would heat up very quickly. The only complaint is the mattresses. All of them need to be replaced. Otherwise the property is a tad dated but fully functional and again perfect if your objective is the beach.

All was good with our entire stay. The only issue was that there is parking for only one vehicle, unless you’re fortunate enough to score one of the visitors spots. I had to park 1/2 mile away because we came from 2 different states and met there and there was no place for one of our cars. Maybe it was because it was 4th of July week? Other than that, it was a clean and easily accessible condo.

We enjoyed our stay. Loves that we were on the second floor. We had everything we needed. The ice maker wasn’t working and they came out immediately to fix it. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice location, lots of restaurants within walking distances. it was a 3 bedroom condo with the master being very big and nice, 1 bedroom pretty small and the 3rd bedroom the closest was locked so wasn’t able to use. Could use some upgrades but was very neat and clean. Some dresser drawers were glued shut. Definitely would stay in the area again!

The location and the view for this condo is what you pay for! It has a great view and the ocean is just steps away. And Caddy's restaurant right across the street was awesome! But the condo and building are old. The main living area and kitchen have been updated, but the bedrooms and bathrooms need some attention. All the beds were very uncomfortable and the headboards and frames move and make noise every time you roll over. The lock on the condo door sticks and it is hard to open at times. The condo never gets to a cool temperature and it is was always too warm in the bedrooms. The owner DOES NOT provide any beach supplies other than 4 beach towels. They have lots of beach items in the closet, but apparently guests are not allowed to use them. This is the first time we have stayed at a VRBO or ARBNB on the beach where the owner does not provide any beach items. The pool was too cold to swim in and the hot tub was scalding hot. If you are just looking for a place with a pretty view and good access to the beach this condo will be perfect. But if you are expecting a 4 or 5 star condo, this place is not for you.

Upon arrival we found that some bedroom drawers were glued shut. The drawers that fid work would fall out on your feet because they were so heavily worn. The AC never reached a temperature below 78 degrees during our stay and was usually 80 degrees or higher. What appeared to be old blood stains were found on the bedding. Food and stains were found on the sofa pull out bed. Monopoly game pieces were found on the couch. The kitchen sink had pooling water leaking under it. Local kids would sneak into the pool and play loud music while they were screaming waking up the guest at 1-2 am due to a total lack of any security. We saw rats on the ground level near the trash chute. I travel to the gulf area each year with family and have never left a negative review of a property until this vacation. A certain level of comfort should be expected for nearly five thousand dollars for a week. This is by far, the worst vacation I have had. Beaches USA did send someone to look at the air, however, it's obvious that the system is outdated and incapable of cooling the property as the service man was unable to fix the issue either.
