I have stayed at every Extended Stay property in the St. Louis area over the last several months. I have always been more than satisfied with each property and I have even left positive reviews. Until I stayed at this property. I usually travel with my son just to get away from the house and it gives us both a chance to catch up on school work. When we arrived for our stay at this location, the front desk agent asked for ID's for myself and my son. I am accustomed to presenting my ID when we check in, but we have never been asked for his as well. When I explained to the agent that my son didn't bring an ID with him, and we have never been asked for his ID at any Extended Stay property before, the agent refused to allow to check in. Since I booked the room through Expedia, my only option was to contact them. The Expedia agent contacted the front desk agent to try and get her to allow us to check in, but again she refused. My only option at this point was to cancel my reservation and wait 7 days for a refund. I left the hotel extremely frustrated and decided I wasn't going to let them interrupt my plans, so we went back and told the agent my son was 17. At first she wasn't going to allow us to check in, but after more pleading on my part, she allowed us to check in. This property was full filthy, did not have any dishes for us to use, and did not have the breakfast like the other Extended Stay locations do. I won't book this location again.

The night Manager is great.! I arrived at midnight, used the door phone to contact guest services and within a couple of minutes the smiling night manager gave me my room key. This is exceptional service and I highly recommend staying at this location!

Had to switch my room two different times because either the door wouldn't lock which is a security issue, my second room the smoke alarm kept chirping and it was supposed to be a non smoking floor but all I could smell in the halls was marijuana. ⅝

It was good to sleep, but there was roaches, the kitchen appliances was over used, and it smelled like a toilet as the fragrance of the room. This hotel chain used to be good, but its now an apartment for people. Some people lived there.

Review Room key issue multiple times. Breakfast is disappointing & MAYBE granola bars and instant oatmeal. The lobby front door is difficult to open and very loud. The back / side doors worthless (broken/propped open by others). BED BUGS AND ANTS NEAR BED. DEAD BUGS ON KITCHEN FLOOR WHEN ARRIVING IN. The carpet was not thoroughly vacuumed. The shower walls had black between the tiles. Kitchen supplies not provided unless you ask, but they mismatch and are not what you would hope for. Bed was soft and “looked” clean. Entire building smells old and most door locks look broken. Laundry room is clean with high tech payment method that works with an app for laundry timing. Front lobby has too many steps to both floors. The staff is friendly and do their best to operate with limited resources. Definitely would NOT recommend this hotel, even if you HAVE to stay on budget.

The smell of marijuana was there when we walked toward our room. The door we were told to go in to our room was locked keycard would not unlock it. No trash can around in the room, no hair dryer, pink residue in the sink and tub possibly cleaning solution? The window was unlocked and screen open, scary! The area of the property had trash bags everywhere and bins overflowing with trash. Glad I was there only one night. The bed was as hard as a rock!

Horrid stay. No ice on premises. The counter and carpet was stained red in random spots. The free toiletries were caked in some weird syrup and crumbs. There was a towel stuck on the back of the door that housekeeping did not get to that was randomly stained red. Overall the place was really dirty and just rundown. The room we stayed in had an “island” which the counter top was super bowed and useless and awkward. Absolutely do not recommend wasting your money on this stay.

The staff was kind and helpful, but the place was awful. The room stunk SO bad that we ended up leaving after about 30 minutes and found a different hotel. And it was super old and dated.

Hotel was disgusting, had dead bugs all over our bathroom and our whole room stunk really bad. The stairwell smelled like marijuana, which is something i dont like walking into with my two kids with us. You had to pick up an outside phone to be buzzed to enter just the hotel lobby. The booking said two beds and it only had one actual bed, the other was a pull out couch with stains all over the bed. Im surprised this hotel hasent been shut down, i wouldnt recommend anyone to stay here especially with children.
