Best thing about this hotel is the location near downtown St George and the Price. The stay was about what I expected. The rooms have been updated and look nice. But the update was a quick overlay that left it feeling a bit underwhelming. To be clear, I was satisfied with the hotel because that is what I expected for the brand and the price. Check in and service were good.

Didn't stay as my wife and I were sick with the flu. Call Red Roof to explain, I was told to call Expedia for a refund because it was past the 24 hours. Told the person at the hotel that I didn't expect to get sick and again I was referred to Expedia to cancel. Called Expedia - while on the call with them saw the charge for the hotel come through. At that point I knew I wouldn't get a refund. Called the hotel and was told that their policy is their policy whether sick or not. Told them that I would drive down and check-in... Was told by the hotel they didn't want anyone sick checking in and they had already cancelled my reservation as a no show, but kept my money anyway per policy. Won't stay at Red Roof ever again.

This place was gross. Super dirty and unsanitary. The hallways were full of dirt and were not vacuumed. The walls had marks on them, the sinks were dirty. I would not stay here. We booked this for two nights, unfortunately on the first night all other hotels were sold out so we were forced to stay here. We could not sleep all night because you could hear everything going on in other rooms/the hallway. Someone kept snoring and coughing extremely loud. After talking to the front desk employee, he only offered to switch us rooms. Why would we want to switch rooms when we experienced a dirty room already? We were able to find another hotel for the 2nd night. Expedia also was no help. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!

Red Roof Inn NOT a win
The appearance of the inn seems fine from first look. But once you step inside the place, this is the stinkiest hotel I have ever been in. Think a mix between wet dog and bad Indian food. We had to run from our room to the exit every day as fast as we could!! It also had whiffs of smoke every couple minutes even though there were NO Smoking signs everywhere. The pool area was swarming with bugs and made a nice feast for all the crows - our nickname for the pool area was “dirty bird bath” I’ll leave the rest up to your imagination. Convenient location and they do clean your rooms everyday.

This place was disgusting. Sheets were stained the walls had something all over them. There was something reddish orange in the shower, we asked for a new room and the lady accommodated us. The other room was also disgusting. The place smells like cigarettes. We left and got a new hotel and just ate our money because this place was so bad. Don’t waste your money on this place like we did.

Good Lighting in the Room
We liked the comfort beds, quiet surroundings, good quality of TV set, updated sink faucet that does not leak or splash water all over the place, the shower water mixed well that does not go extremely hot and then cold, and especially the well lit room. We've been bringing a flash light while traveling due to the poor lighting that made it hard to see on the microwave and TV remote.

The linens and bedding, shower curtain were all stained!!! The tub was dirty and furniture dusty. My neighbor was slamming doors and stomping down the hallway frequently. I reported in the late evening post putting up with it all day. The office was aware and know the person so apparently from the way she spoke this is an on going problem. Why? Why do they put up with it????

Very dirty rooms
Desk staff were nice. Rooms were filthy. Floors looked like they haven’t been swept or cleaned in weeks. Bedding didn’t look much better. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We chose this place because there was no dog fee, but it turned out to be the worst place we stayed during our 8-day trip to Utah. The entire hallway on the second floor smelled bad, the bathroom in the room had a horrible urine smell, and everywhere in the room showed signs of not even basic cleaning. There was hot water in the sink, but not in the bathtub. The beds didn't seem to be properly covered either, so we just slept in our street clothes with no covers and left as soon as we woke up at dawn. We didn't even feel like having breakfast. I felt so sorry for the family we were staying with.
