I have reached out to the management twice regarding my stay from two weeks ago and have yet to hear back. In my email, I shared that when I attempted to shower, there was no water pressure and no water. I called the front desk around 10:05 AM and was told there was no plumbing issue, only that the hotel was at capacity, the third floor sometimes has problems when many guests are using water, and that maintenance would not be in until Monday.
I was advised to wait 20 minutes and try again. After waiting and attempting again, I ended up with soap on me and no water to continue bathing or rinse off. This was both uncomfortable and unacceptable.
Before leaving, I asked the front desk representative to document my request for a refund or adjustment. She responded, “Well, didn’t you stay in the room? So you wouldn’t be refunded.” She also stated it would be up to the manager to decide. I explained that while I did stay overnight, I paid for a room with basic amenities, and a working shower is one of them. I again requested that my concern and request for refund/adjustment be documented. There was another guest checking out who had the same issue.
As a guest, I expect basic amenities, and this was not provided. I will reach out to Choice Hotels due to the lack of response from the manager, Andrea.
