Our elegant little Retreat is a small private suite within an updated yet vintage 1890s home. NO SHARED INDOOR SPACE! It free street parking; no parking on property, steps from Uptown eateries & shops, and 3 blocks from the Castillo and "Old Town." This light-filled Queen Suite comes with a mini fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave, coffee/tea, TV w/basic Roku, a small bathroom with a nice sized shower, an antique table for 2 inside the room and a beautiful shared garden!

It's a super location to walk everywhere, head downtown via San Marco or walk through the neighborhood and the Castillo. The water is at the end of the street! A note on ambiance: It is a quiet neighborhood albeit connected to a very busy tourist town. You will hear people, cars, the cannon fire at the fort, church chimes and the occasional trolley in the daytime. This includes the Firestone during their regular hours.
Enter through private gate next to red house. Unit 2 is the shy walk way to the left before the garden structures. Please follow tall red wooden pathway into your vacation suite. Free street parking is available after the stop sign on Locust without yellow curbs (Hostfully link may be helpful) or use parking pass provided in room. Address is on card (garage is a block away). Recommend parking close by.
The property has three units, the main house "Hide-Out", a small carriage house called "Safe Haven," and the little "Retreat." The little Retreat is a small studio suite with big airy feels and a romantic hidden vibe. Updated fixtures and an a-plus feel with the tiled shower and artwork. It has window AC unit. There's also a standing space heater for those that can never be too "warm" during the winter months. The space is not spacious for those that may be packing heavy but perfect for a short and convenient stay. Free street parking is available; Do not park between the house and the stop sign. No Parking at the home. Parking card to city garage is also available. There is a pet fee of $25 cash per dog that must be left on a visible counter for cleaners (limit 2 pets) -Dogs must be on a leash at all times and clean up after your pets. -Security Cameras are on the property -Only guests on reservation are allowed on the property.
Walking is best, but you can rent bikes, scooters, three wheelers or grab any of the tourist trollies...all just a few blocks away. Or call a pedi-cab and they will pick you up at the front of the property! Parking Down Town 2.50 per hour, free after 5 pm and Sunday. Parking pass inside for down town parking; a block away (8 minute walk)
Welcome to “Vintage” Florida! We are just off the beaten path, so you may hear activity early in the morning to late at night….It is a vibrant town! Because you are sharing the property, it is important that guests respect each other. House rules are enforced! All of our properties are routinely treated for pests, but when the doors open bugs can come in; they love crumbs and open or unclean glasses of wine or pop, stagnant water from buckets and glasses and anywhere water accumulates, so please do your part! Definitely remember to use repellent when outdoors We are dog friendly! If you will be bringing a dog, please let us know when booking and please read our pet rules prior to making your booking with us. Remember: Please get all pets pre-approved!
We enforce pet fees for guests traveling with emotional support animals. If a guest refuses to pay, we will not allow the emotional support animal to stay. Picture of Pet fur will be reported and Airbnb will contact guests unwilling to comply with our policies. Service animals are not to be Left alone at the listing without prior approval PARKING NOTE: There is no onsite parking available, but ample free street parking is available. We very much enjoyed our stay. The place was a perfect size for a couple and decorated nicely with modern decor. We were in Unit 2 which you can’t see from the front of the house. We were a little confused where to go when we first arrived. We called our host.. she quickly answered and guided us to where we needed to go. Unit 1 is out front and the other units you have to access through a wooden gate to the right of the home. Once you enter that gate you find yourself in a secluded and darling courtyard. Unit 2 was to the left with a private walkway and keypad entry. Don’t judge the rentals by the outside. We opened our door and smiled at this cute, little efficiency. We had a comfortable Queen platform bed, Nice size tv with Roku, small kitchen area with dishes, drip coffee maker (with coffee & fixings), small refrigerator & microwave, sink with dish cleaning supplies, full bathroom with towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Also, included was a toothbrush and toothpaste, hairdryer, iron & ironing board. We didn’t need the parking pass that was included inside our room for a nearby parking garage but that would be a bonus for sure. Location was perfect to walk down to the fort, pedestrian walkway for shopping, entertainment and eating. We would definitely stay here again. Our host was great & provided a clean, tastefully decorated place. Offered nice amenities, information and kindness.

The host was very communicative from start to finish. I was slightly worried about the parking, but she sent a highlighted map and we found parking no problem. The location was ideal! We were able to walk to everything. The room itself was cute and exactly what we needed for our stay. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place. :)

The Retreat met the needs for our stay. But we did find the room very small and pretty cramped for 2 people, in some areas single file for passing each other. You couldn't really tell this from the listing. There is not parking on the property, but we found street parking pretty easily. The outside lighting did not adequately lighten the steps and my husband almost tripped and fell. We loved the location, and the neighborhood. Communication with the owner was excellent.

My son and I traveled to Saint Augustine for a fourth grade field trip. This was centrally located annd easy to meet up with the other classmates. We walked everywhere that weekend. It is a small room but has everything you need for a comfortable weekend stay. There is a great coffeehouse around the corner. We walk to for breakfast. An access to the parking garage was great.

Perfect Location
This is quite a gem, located in a perfect location in the center of historic St Augustine. Although it is located right next to a Firestone, it did not bother us since we were out all day and they close at night. The neighborhood is quaint for nightly walks. The bed is comfortable and the room is a studio, small but met all our needs. It was clean and ready when we arrived. I was amazed how the room was arranged with everything from a sink, microwave to fridge. Our host kept us informed every step of the way! We gave it a four because there is a upstairs and you can’t help but hear them going up and down the stairs late at night and the walls seemed a bit thin as we could hear them talking. The air conditioner fan for that unit was right outside our window and kept on going on and off. It didn’t bother me as much as it did my husband, who is a light sleeper. These may not bother most. The location trumps all. I would stay here again.

Room was exactly as described. (Clean and Quiet) Our host Huyen Le was awesome and very responsive to any questions we had. Room is conveniently located with about a 5 to 10 minute walk to historic downtown which was very nice. Saved us a lot on parking. Would stay again!

Cute Little Place
Enjoyed our stay in St. Augustine! Location was great, very walkable to attractions, restaurants, etc.. It is very small, but comfortable. We were in town only one night, so worked well for us. Parking is limited/tight on the street. We used the owner-provided parking pass for the parking garage which is about 1/2 mile away but a nice walk. Owner very nice and communication was quick and thorough during our stay.
