Property was very well maintained, peaceful and tranquil. Everything you would need is there. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to see; the state parks and waterfalls. We loved the bird feeders and were able to see some birds we had never seen before.

Perfect weekend getaway to unplug
From the location to the amenities to the communication from the hosts, it was an incredible weekend. I needed to unplug and get some writing done and this cabin was perfect. I cannot wait to return when I don’t have to get work done. The hosts were thoughtful, responsive and have really thought of just about everything.

Anniversary weekend
This property is perfect. Everything was amazing, the property owners are great communicators. They have a list of local places to see, restaurants and stores. The falls near by are breathtaking and the fall colors were amazing. The cabin was so clean and comfortable, the hot tub was wonderful. Will definitely come back!

Very secluded
If your goal is to get away from society and get in touch with nature, then this spot is perfect. No cell phone service at all, but I was surprised to find out that they have fiber optics installed at the cabin (super fast internet) 10/10 would recommend.

4th of July Family Fun
We really enjoyed our stay at Hemlock Cabin! Our hosts, Kent and Pam, were friendly and quick to respond to any questions we had. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit! One of my favorite things about the cabin was the screened in porch where I could watch the birds at the bird feeder and enjoy my coffee and quiet time! We also appreciated the cleanliness of the cabin and the comfortable beds. The cabin location was also a huge plus. It is only a few miles from Fall Creek Falls State Park, a beautiful place to hike, swim and explore.

Nice area, stay was OK.
This cabin is super cute and comfy. Pros: comfy, quiet, peaceful, nice hot tub, super close to Fall Creek Falls State Park. Cons: the gas fireplace was “closed for the season” and it would have been nice to enjoy on the rainy nights, more for ambience. Host needs to mention that in the property description. The hot tub cover is very heavy and difficult to lift(it’s saturated with water and falling apart/held together with duct tape). There was a bit too much surveillance on this property. We were in the hot tub and noticed a camera pointed our way. It felt intrusive and creepy. No screens in the windows so you can’t leave the windows open at night or during cool weather unless you want to share the space with flying insects. The cleaning fee you pay surely isn’t getting the job done. There were dead bugs and nests on the window sills and floors and a cockroach made and appearance in the tub while I was taking a shower! Not fun! A few more cockroaches were killed during our stay as well.

Beautiful property, everything as advertised!
I would certainly consider staying again! We wanted secluded, with all the comforts of home, plus the hot tub. Exactly what we got, but more beautiful. Comfortable, rustic, clean. Internet worked great, nothing lacking in the kitchen. The owner comes across as a little bit intense, checking on things and warnings about how to do things exactly.

Great location, peaceful stay!
We chose this location due to proximity to Fall Creek Falls State Park and it was perfect! Easily accessible to the park, main highway, and horseback riding stables. And it was a nice peaceful retreat to return to for relaxing after a day of hiking! My favorite part was the bird feeders! What a joy!

Cute, peaceful cabin close to Fall Creek Falls
The cabin was just as described, it was super cute, clean, and peaceful. There is wildlife from birds, squirrels, listening to the frogs at night, and we even had a few baby deer. We have stayed in plenty of rentals and I would have to say that the sheets on the downstairs bed were some of the nicest we have ever slept on. From the time we started the rental process to the time we checked out we had an excellent experience with the owners.

Worst fathers day ever
We live in Indiana and rented a cabin for father's day because my wife's father and mother live close to fall creek falls. When we got to the cabin all we noticed was the grass was over 3 ft tall and you couldn't even walk through the yard .then on father's day my wife's parents came to the cabin for a cookout for a couple hours. Then the owner comes out and said he was watching us through the camera and that we were not allowed no company at all not even for a cookout. My wife explained that her father's health was bad and he probably wouldn't make it 6 more months. The owner seen that he was in a wheelchair and said that is the rules and wanted to charge us almost $200 extra. The beds are so hard that we went and got an air mattress. The hot tub was dirty with dirt and leaves floating in it. It was the worst cabin we have ever rented and we rent one twice a year for 10 years now

People that sneak additional guests and pets onto the property will be found out. We require a filled out Liability Release which indicates just how many people will be staying and it must be the same as your reservation. This review is from a disgruntled unhappy person. Our mountain getaway
We had an incredible time here. The cabin was perfect. It is nestled into a wooded area, there are bird feeders & houses all around. They even provided bimoculars and a bird guide to help you identify the types of birds. The hot tub was great & we enjoyed the fire pit as well. We were very close to the park, which is spectacular. The listing is very accurate and 100% as presented. We loved it and want to come back. As a bonus, there was snow on the ground when we arrived & we got snow while we were here. Watching the snowfall from the cabin porch was sonething I had always dreamed of.

Quiet cozy hideaway in the woods!
My wife and I, our son and his friends really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Rustic, but with all of the conveniences and amenities… It was great. Be prepared in advance, that there is no store right around the corner… But neither is there any traffic! The night sky was beautiful without any glow from any specific direction from civilization. We really enjoyed ourselves and plan to go back again soon. Good job Hosts!

Great cabin in the woods!
Great cabin! Very clean, secluded. very quiet setting. Beautiful pond, great bird watching. The owners had bird feeders full to enjoy watching from a wonderful screened porch. Bed was comfortable and kitchen was equipped well enough that I made a full Thanksgiving dinner. Owners responded quickly to any inquiries. You won't be disappointed! We will return.

Convenient Cabin to Fall Creek Falls SP
The cabin has a lot to like. It is convenient to one of the most beautiful and versatile State Parks in the COUNTRY. it is a efficient lay-out and well-stock. The cabin offers nice privacy with no other units in sight and is surrounded by a wooded area. It features a seasonal gas log fireplace and a hot tub off of the deck. A spacious screened in porch with a view of a plethora of birds is a real treat. The owner has a wild area with a large aerated pond that provides a nice ambience of sound. At the same time, the cabin needs some repairs. The main area ceiling fan was inoperable. The courteously provided window fan had a broken prong. At least two lamps/plugs did not work. Although forewarned, the malfunctioning temperature of the oven made baking difficult

Nice property in private setting. The fountain in the meditation pond was not running while we were there, which kind of deflated our opportunity to meditate in that space. Ok, but renters may feel they are constantly under pressure to keep everything “ship shape and Bristol fashion” and this might prevent some renters from having a completely relaxing experience. Loved the quiet and the birds especially night birds near the pond.. saw my first Carolina wren ever.

Indeed, we do hope that folks that rent our cabin treat it with the respect that they treat their own home. Glad you enjoyed your stay! Note: Carolina Wrens are pretty easy to attract to any home. They particularly like to eat shelled sunflower or mealworms. :)

Home Away From Home!
This is our second stay here! We brought our children along this time to experience the atmosphere. They absolutely loved the cabin and hot tub, as well as the location to Fall Creek Falls. We enjoyed the grill and fire pit as well! I would definitely recommend this to any couples or families! Great location, great accommodations, and great communication with the owners! We plan on coming back several times!
