„Preiswert, freundlich, personal teils unbeholfen“

„I (we) have never stayed in a castle before so randomly coming across thought why not as it was on par with staying in Durham. We stayed in the main castle rather than the wing rooms. Felt appropriately castle like. Clean. High quality establishment. Uber from the local train station (one stop from Durham) cost 5 pounds. Back to Durham in the morning from there was about 16 or so. We ate evening meal at the bar (had fish&chips, small portion fairly good quality) and a few drinks that were ...

„Really great stay, room was large warm and comfortable. Restaurant food was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful“

„Von uns nur als Übernachtungsort ausgewählt, aber auch durchaus für mehrere Nächte zur Erkundung der Umgebung geeignet“

„The staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival. The room was comfortable, clean and we slept very well. The spa was nice to relax in and worth paying the extra £20 per person for as you could use it all day. Breakfast was freshly cooked and they had gluten free toast ands croissants and the restaurant food was delicious with a good choice of gluten free options.“

„This was a very old historical building in as good of a shape as it could be. Some uneven floors and a lot of steps to get to your room. It was small and quiet charming. The staff was pleasant and helpful. A bus stop was right out the side. Very pleasant. The bed was nice, no air conditioning, but it was fairly cool when we went in August, 2026. They had a fan. We are from Florida so the low 70's was a joy for us for August.“

„Good size bedroom, excellent breakfast, great staff“

„Nur zur Übernachtung bei Dienstreise genutzt. Kaffee und Tee war auf dem Zimmer. Zimmerservice war gut. “

„Ample parking. Amazing breakfast. Great views“

„Great breakfast!“

„We enjoyed the spacious suite that had a gorgeous view of Durham Cathedral. The location was perfect walking distance to the river and attractions and restaurants in town.“

„Staying here was amazing. The room was just what I needed for my one night stay in Durham. The bus stop wasn’t far away and was very easy to get into the city center. I arrived a little bit early and they didn’t even flinch to get me into my room. Highly recommend!“

„VOor het ontbijt iets van plakjes kaas of zo erbij“

„Second time and just as good as the first. Come back any time“
