Why We Love Sunchase IV — Our Little Piece of Paradise on South Padre Island

As an owner at Sunchase IV, I may be a little biased but after years of enjoying South Padre Island, I still believe this is one of the most special places to stay on the island. What makes Sunchase IV so unique is that you truly get the best of both worlds, the Gulf of Mexico and the Laguna Madre Bay. From our two-story condo, Sunchase IV #506, we can enjoy beautiful Gulf views from the living area and private balcony, then retreat upstairs to bedrooms overlooking the bay and Queen Isabella Causeway. Morning coffee with the Gulf in front of you and gorgeous evening skies over the bay behind you never get old! And when SpaceX launches from Starbase, our south-facing balcony can become a front-row seat to something truly extraordinary.

Sunchase IV feels like a resort while still giving you the space and comforts of a private condo. There is direct beach access, two pools, hot tubs, children's pools, a fitness center, tennis courts, barbecue areas, a library, and a wonderful seventh-floor sundeck with panoramic views. The location is another reason we love it. You're right on the beach while still being close to restaurants, shopping, entertainment, fishing, dolphin tours, and everything that makes South Padre Island such a fun destination. Our own #506 is a two-bedroom, 2½-bath condo that sleeps up to six, with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, open living and dining area, and plenty of room to relax after a day at the beach. We have tried to make it feel like a true home away from home at the beach, comfortable, welcoming, and a place where families can make wonderful memories together.

We're also very happy to have our condo professionally managed by SPI Rentals, a locally based team right here on South Padre Island.

There are two separate transactions for each reservation (one for VRBO service fees and one for the rental payment through SPI Rentals). Many virtual one-time card providers only authorize a single transaction, which causes the payment to fail. For this reason, we recommend that guests do not book using Klarna, Affirm, or similar services. If a reservation is attempted using one of these payment methods and the payment declines, the guest will be required to provide an alternative form of payment or cancel the reservation.
