• THE UNIT WAS VERY WORN AND TIRED
o The photographs that accompanied the listing were not accurate or reflective of the current layout and condition of the unit.
o The sofa had a tear in the corner.
o The loft bedding situation was dysfunctional. Capacity of 13 is an overstatement.
o The master bedroom furniture was dysfunctional and not as pictured in the listing.
• GENERAL CLEANLINESS
o Dust everywhere. The obvious horizontal surfaces had been dusted but that is all. The window shades, mantle, light fixtures, lamp shades, base boards, chair rails, etc. had not been touched in some time.
o There were dust motes under all of the furniture and beds.
o The electric cook top was awful. There were layers of baked on crusted food residue that had not been cleaned for a very long time. Additionally, the cook top was very worn and scratched – well past the point of replacement.
o The fans were encrusted with a thick layer of dust.
o The washing machine was not cleaned. There was soap residue in the top.
o The outdoor grill looked like it had never been cleaned. In addition, the grill could only grill 6 hamburgers vs a 13 capacity unit??
o The patio light was full of debris.
o The general lack of common cleanliness would lead one to question whether the Covid protocols had been followed.
• VACATION RENTAL ASSISTANCE
o VRA was totally unresponsive. When I called on Sunday evening to report the issues with the hair drier fire and the filthy fans, he said he was tired and asked if it could wait until the next morning. I agreed if he would keep me informed of his plans to remedy the issues on Monday. I did not hear from him at all on Monday. He did not return my follow-up call on Tuesday morning.
