Oar-Chard House is a 4-bedroom family beach retreat in Miami Park with private tram access to Lake Michigan and a one-of-a-kind custom swing dining table that turns dinner into an experience. Spend your days on the sandy shoreline and your evenings gathered under the trees, swinging gently at the table with lemonade, wine, or s’mores by the fire pit. This home blends classic lake-house comfort with playful outdoor living, making it an easy choice for families who want both convenience and character.



Hop aboard the neighborhood tram and ride down the bluff to the private community beach. Swim, explore, or stay for sunset over Lake Michigan before heading back up to relax. Located just minutes from downtown South Haven, wineries, breweries, and farm markets, you’re close to everything while still tucked into the peaceful, tree-lined setting of Miami Park.



Inside, the home features hardwood floors, a bright living room with fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen with granite counters and island seating—perfect for pancake breakfasts or casual family dinners. The layout offers space for everyone to unwind comfortably, with inviting bedrooms designed for both grown-up relaxation and kid-friendly sleepovers.



The backyard is where Oar-Chard House truly stands out. The custom-built swing dining table creates a memorable gathering space, while the fire pit with Adirondack chairs, playset, yard games, screened-in porch, and fully enclosed outdoor shower round out a setting designed for long summer days and even longer summer nights.



The Neighborhood:

Miami Park is a lakefront neighborhood perched on a bluff along Lake Michigan, north of downtown South Haven. The association maintains a stairway and motorized tram (elevator) from the top of the bluff down to the shoreline. With gravel roads, deer and turkey this is a wonderful blend of being remote while featuring beautiful homes. With access to the shoreline, stunning sunsets from the bluff and a lovely drive along Blue Star highway to South Haven or Saugatuck, this is a fantastic location for your home base during your visit.

Beach Access: Neighborhood provides private tram-system to access private community beach

*Miami Park Shoreline: The shoreline at Miami Park can change from season to season. As of late August, the trams bring you down to an sandy area above the waterline, with stairs & steps into the lake at either end of the sandy area

Tram Access: Electric trams are available along the bluff to traverse the 90 foot bluff. The trams are maintained by the neighborhood association, and Shores cannot guarantee that trams will be fully functional every day of your stay. The association may need to close the trams to address repairs, routine maintenance or recharging the batteries that provide the power to move the platforms. Guests are asked to follow the tram operating instructions so the trams stay operational for everyone in the neighborhood

We provide an after-hours emergency phone number to call in case an issue arises outside of our standard business hours. Additionally, we provide you with a mobile SMS number that you can text for non-emergency issues.
