To help you settle in comfortably, the home provides a starter supply of basic consumables for your arrival:

These supplies are intended to get your stay started and may not be sufficient for your entire visit, particularly for larger groups or extended stays. Grocery and convenience stores are available nearby in South Fork if additional supplies are needed.

Things to Know Before You Arrive
• No air conditioning: Like many mountain homes in this region, Pine Croft does not have air conditioning. South Fork's high-elevation climate generally brings cooler evenings, and opening windows can help bring fresh mountain air into the home.

• High altitude: South Fork sits at approximately 8,200 feet above sea level. Stay hydrated, take it easy when you first arrive, and allow yourself time to acclimate if traveling from a lower elevation.

• Mountain weather: Conditions can change quickly throughout the year. Packing layers and appropriate seasonal footwear is recommended.

• Wildlife: Deer, elk, foxes, black bears, moose, and other wildlife may be encountered throughout the region. Please admire wildlife from a safe distance and never feed wild animals.

• Winter travel: Snow and ice are common during winter. Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive with appropriate winter tires or traction devices is strongly recommended, particularly when traveling mountain roads or heading toward Wolf Creek Ski Area.

• Internet: WiFi is available throughout the home for streaming, browsing, and remote work. As with many mountain destinations, occasional weather-related service interruptions may occur.
