With a lovely view of Camel’s Hump Mountain right from the expansive back yard and deck, along with plenty of room for the kids and dog to play, you’ve found the perfect family-friendly vacation rental! Lots of wildlife stops by the area as well, including deer, turkeys, bobcats, Canada geese, and various birds. Despite the secluded setting, you’ll also enjoy easy access to shopping, restaurants, family farms, and metro Burlington.

Start each morning with coffee in the enclosed three-season room, with three walls of windows and the same lovely mountain view. After you’re sufficiently caffeinated, step inside to make breakfast in the full, well-equipped kitchen. Grab a seat at the breakfast bar or sit down for a meal together at the large, window-front dining table. Head out to explore, or just relax at home. Entertainment options include free WiFi and four TVs. Thoughtful family-friendly amenities include a high chair, kid’s games, booster seat, changing table, and Pack ’N Play. Keep dinner prep simple with the gas grill, and end the day back outside, gathered around the fire pit and toasting your good luck at booking such a wonderful family escape.

The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Unfortunate
The layout, size, and features of the house are nice. The description says “pet friendly” (we were not bringing pets) so maybe that should have tipped us off but the house reeked of dog. There were two large (~4 ft across) dog beds in the larger bedrooms. These pet beds are not mentioned in the description nor are they in any of the photos. There were wads of dog hair clumped to the feet of every chair. So if you love dogs this is the place for you. Unfortunately the lack of cleanliness didn’t end there. There were food crumbs scattered on the floors. There were potato chip crumbs all over the kids bedroom including IN the bedding which must not have been changed. We found a large shard of broken glass in the rug under the coffee table and a dirty sock under a chair. There were thick cobwebs in the master bedroom and a large screw on the floor. The window a/c unit mentioned in the description and shown in the photos was not there. I realize that it may have been removed for the winter and just hadn’t been reinstalled but the temps were in the 80s and it would have been nice to have in the heat of the day. It didn’t matter I’m the end since we had the windows open to air out the smell whenever we were in the house. We contacted Vacasa and were assured that someone from the local office would get in touch to resolve these problems. This never happened. Even after we contacted them a second time. We won’t be using Vacasa again.

Beautiful views.
Some trouble getting in but could have been some user error. The lock is a little different and it spins so can be confusing. The owners checked in quite a bit until they could get in. The only other trouble was the second shower had no hot water. Had to use 1 shower for everyone. Only there for a long weekend so unable to be fixed that quick, understandable. Owner was very respectful and responsive. The home was very clean and tidy. Seems like everyone was comfortable in the beds as well. Spacious and beautiful views. Location was perfect for what we wanted/needed.

Bad Start
Property was not ready at check in. Fridge full, dirty linens, dirty towels and house not clean. Called property mgr and housekeeping came within a half an hour. Also no heat which was resolved by 7:30. Loose bar and dinning room chairs and back door does not latch. Got locked out day before departure. Vermont is a very welcoming state. This property not so much. The rest of the stay was good. VACASA must be understaffed...

Beautiful view and property, great location (in the country but close to Burlington), spacious home with great washer/dryer. Only minor issue was that TV remote was broken so we streamed through our laptop. Would definitely come back!

Great location
10 min to downtown burlington, 5 min to grocery stores. Only 45 min to stowe, but close to everything. Home is large and has some great features, awesome fridge and amazingly comfortable living room. Bedrooms are HUGE, beds are super comfortable. They were super thoughtful with that they put in the kids rooms

A lovely gem of a house very close to Burlington
You won't be disappointed by this lovely house just outside Burlington, very close to the airport, UVM, Shelburne, etc. Perfectly comfortable with all the accommodations one could need. Fantastic backyard setting no matter the season. House sits on a well-traveled road but the windows keep most of the noise from even being noticed. Dog bed in corner proved to be a popular spot, too!

House was fine. Nice pots and pans which is always a plus. Had everything we needed except the dryer didn’t work and I didn’t find out until our last night there after I washed a load of clothes. Communication with property manager was the only frustrating thing other than the dryer. I could not talk to anyone I guess because of the holiday but there were many questions because there were no instructions of any kind at the property. Finally got a call from a representative in Oregon who was very helpful but no one locally would answer or call back.

Lovely view, but management company not so great
The property had a large yard and a lovely view of the mountains. The house itself had ample common space and was quite clean, but many of the dishes and glasses were not. There was also a funky smell in the house that may have come from the master bedroom. Fortunately, we had one extra bedroom and moved to that one for our second night. The homeowner uses a rental management company that we were not thrilled with. Their customer service staff was quite friendly but made offers that didn't hold water like offering us late check out and not coming by to clean the dirty dishes and glassware even though we were led to believe this would be taken care of.
