By FAR the worst experience I've had at a vacation rental. The couch had rips and stains. The shared laundry room is rundown and disgusting and there are signs everywhere about how bad the appliances are. There are many standard items missing, like a toaster oven, dish towels, etc.The morning after arriving, the water suddenly stopped working. After an hour of no response the property manager finally said he was on his way. After waiting around for another hour I finally got a message saying the county was doing work on the water lines and should be good to go soon. He said there was a busted main.By 10pm we still had no water. Yet all the neighbors had water.I let the manager know I would not be staying there and would receive a full refund, since water is a necessity. He stated it was out of his control. No apology. No offer of any ways to help. Instead, just a snark remark implying he could make more money if I canceled.I called the county water department. There was no busted main. No work being done. They informed me the water was shut off there because of an overdue water bill. Public records proved the owner had 949 of overdue water bill charges.The manager ghosted me. So I was forced to contact VRBO support. After 2 days and many hours messaging/phone with VRBO, they reimbursed me.I would not consider this property or anything else by this host. If you do, make sure all communication is done thru VRBO so their support can see proof of what was said. Horrible.
