We had a throughly enjoyable stay at the property. Andreas was a friendly and welcoming host, he is close at hand should you need him. The cosy house is a great base to explore the surrounding area and has mostly all that you need. The balcony is a lovely place to sit and eat and listen to the cow bells in the distance.We packed so much into our time. The Palace on the island in lake Chiemsee is a must but make sure you book. Salzberg is an easy distance, there is a fantastic Ice Cave which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also hired a little boat from Chieming and used it to swim from. The mountains in the area are stunning, getting a cable car and walking to the summit of Untersbergbahn was also a highlight. A couple of things would be useful in the house. Some bags that could be taken to the supermarket, a bigger saucepan/cooking pot, a fan as the top room can get very hot in the summer. Towels are provided but I recommend you take a few extra if you plan on swimming at the lakes. We loved the toast/ breakfast station by the dining table, this is not something we do in the U.K. but is a great idea and having the light hanging over the table was great for board games.
