Spacious and Comfortable
This house is lovely inside and out. The rooms are well appointed. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare gourmet meals. Sitting out on the deck for dinners was comfortable and peaceful (except on the weekend when the band played down at the local pub....The music was not loud but did break the silence of such a peaceful location). Short walk to the river. We did rent the house to sleep 10 people. There are beds for 10 people. There are three rooms with king/queen beds and 4 twin beds that are in lofts. Two of the twins are in the loft above and overlooking the master bedroom. Access to the twins is via a very narrow spiral staircase. The other two twin beds are tucked into another loft outside the theater room. The beds are very close to the ceiling making for very claustrophobic sleeping. All beds are comfortable.

Amazing Spectacular Stay !

Crater Lake Trip
Our group of nine friends stayed at Bella Chalet for our weekend trip to Crater Lake, and it was absolutely incredible for a great price. The property is located about an hour from the park, which we thought might be far but turned out to be perfect. We were able to visit the park and get in some hiking on Saturday then river rafted on Sunday at a location only a 10 minute walk from the house. The house was spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and fully-stocked bathrooms. There were also plenty of outdoor games available for us to play on the lawn like badminton, croquet, and bocce ball. Suzanne was so friendly and accommodating, and the house is beautiful. Truly an amazing trip!

Beautiful log home and accompanying property. House really set up well for 3 couples, plus or minus a few kids. Additional apartment rental adds further flexibility. Great proximity to the river for fishing. The burgers at nearby 62 Burgers and Brew were truly phenomenal. And, the folks at the Fishin' Hole fly shop were great.

Son's Wedding
We stayed at this beautiful property last weekend when our son got married. We had several family members traveling across country for the event and this property was the perfect place for all of us to be together and still enjoy our privacy. The owner is a wonderful host and made the checkin and out process very easy and was quick to answer any questions that I had in the months preceding the wedding. The pictures of the property do not completely capture the beauty and attention to detail that has obviously been put into this home! Loved every minute of our stay and highly recommend this property!

Beautiful home with lots of room for relaxation. The home is ideal for three couples as there are three bedrooms with attached bathrooms. The additional 4 twin beds were challenging for our two additional adults. Enjoyed the side yard where we played volleyball and badminton. Shady Cove Oasis
We’re familiar with Shady Cove and have been coming here with family for years and years. The Bella Chalet log cabin is such a gem. In the morning, the whole place lights up with sunshine. The deer/bucks are frequently meandering through the yard. Beautiful sounds of birds chirping on the deck. The deck has comfortable furniture, highly recommend bringing a good book to read out there. There’s also sun chairs for laying out. We stayed here for the week of our wedding. We got married at a nearby family property. I (the bride) got ready here with my mom and sister and the lighting is beautiful. The internet is a little weak, and my cell service was terrible (AT&T), so it’s a great place to disconnect, which we loved. My father in law had some work to do while we were there so he set his computer up at the dining room table and that worked well for him. We loved the movie room! We had family movie night and watched Grease. Tip: there’s more movies in the master bedroom right by the door! We didn’t discover that until we were leaving :) My toddler woke up every morning and went and got his grandma to go “swing”. There’s a cute porch swing on the lawn by the gazebo. They had so much fun over there. Kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare a meal. We shared many large family meals at the house! After dinner, make sure you go into town and get Phil’s Frosty at least once before heading home. We didn’t utilize the loft spaces other than the movie room, but they would be great for kids 10+. Staircases are beautiful, but narrow and steep. Cant recommend this place enough. My toddler keeps asking to go back to the “log house”. We made priceless family memories here, without screens, and it was just what the doctor ordered. We hope to be back soon.

This house is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The house is beautifully designed with meticulous attention to details. Beautiful property as described
My family, extended family and family friends stayed here during Labor Day weekend and had the best time in Suzanne's property, it's beautiful as described, the kitchen is so well equipped that we cooked most of our meals there, the deck is huge and the yard is serene, we enjoyed hanging out there, the beds are super comfortable and we all got good nights of sleep, the garage easily fits two good sized SUV, Suzanne is very responsive and accommodating. All and all it was a great stay, we highly recommend and would love to return again.

Great Property!
We have traveled and used many VRBO properties, and this by far has been the nicest house. It is amazing, with multiple bedrooms that feel like "master" bedrooms. It has very comfortable furniture and is well-stocked with great appliances and cookware. The deck is well done and comfortable all day long. Overall, Suzanne did a great job on this house. We used it as our launch into Crater Lake and to enjoy the rafting on Rogue River.

Superb Stay
We had a wonderful stay at Suzanne’s home in Shady Cove. The accommodations were just right for the 9 of us; three generations of family with two 14 and two 12-year olds in the youngest generation. Shady Cove is a perfect location for Rogue River rafting and fishing. Crater Lake National Park is an easy 1.5 hours for a one-day trip. The home has every amenity imaginable for a carefree vacation. We were treated to a deer family of four each afternoon as they lounged in the adjacent area of lawn and garden. On one occasion a wild turkey family of four waddled past the back deck.

Fabulous luxury home for Crater Lake access
Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. The amenities are excellent, the entire property is immaculate and Suzanne shows great attention to detail to ensure a comfortable stay. One bit of hopefully useful feedback: the furniture in the family room and loft areas is not particularly comfortable, e.g. for movie watching. Both rooms would benefit tremendously from a large, deep, cozy (soft material) sofa. Also, we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the fireplace in the master bedroom, but that might have just been user error or our overlooking instructions. All in, though, we would definitely recommend this wonderful Shady Cove home to others!

Stunning House, Serene Location
This house is as stunning as the pictures suggest. The back deck was great to sit out on and watch the wildlife pass by. The summertime weather we experienced in Oregon was great. No humidity and no rain at all in 10 days. Shady Cove is a cute little town that takes about 3 minutes to drive through. However, there still seems to be everything you need within 15 minutes driving time. We rafted the Rogue River and visited Crater Lake twice (jumping in the first time...quite an experience). Great house, great location.

Very Nice
This is the second year our group has rented Bella Chalet and we intend to do so again. It is a very comfortable home that is warmly furnished and nicely decorated. The kitchen is to die for. It is large enough to accommodate 10 people ( a combination of couples and children) but comfortably only 5 grown fishermen, six in a pinch. Honestly, nothing comes close in the Shady Cove area.

Beautiful Property, Wonderful Host
We had the most wonderful stay at Suzanne's Bella Chalet. She has created a magnificent home that is luxurious and yet cozy. It's so wonderful being there, you hardly want to leave! Suzanne was so kind and helpful during our stay, an excellent hostess. There was everything (and much more) needed for our stay: access to a chef-inspired kitchen, laundry, parking, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, deck with views and hot tub, lovely yard, the list can go on and on! I would recommend this lovely home to anyone and I can not wait to go back in the future - thank you, Suzanne!!

Fantastic home for a Thanksgiving family get together
This was more than a house, it was a vacation destination. Suzanne was wonderful, she had the table set for our Thanksgiving dinner when we arrived and warm welcoming fires in the fireplaces. The kitchen was gourmet and well stocked. We prepared Thanksgiving dinner for 9 and there was plenty of space in the kitchen for multiple cooks. We lounged in the hot tub on the cool evenings and the stars were amazing. Shady Cove store was within walking distance and well stocked. Everyone had a great time and it will be a Thanksgiving to remember.

Very nice, great location spacious but a bit pricey
Folks had a great time. We likely will be back but may look for something a bit less pricey. Our deposit has not yet been returned, it has been over a week now.

Thank you for taking the time to write your Review. I am disappointed that you gave it 4 Stars, as all of my other Reviews over the past seven years, save one, and yours, have been 5 Stars. Additionally, it appears that your Tour Guide rented my home through VRBO and then provided pricing for his private Fishing Trip to his clients. I was paid through his agreement with VRBO, which was anything but “pricey”, but was at a Winter Discount Rate. My rates are available to all through my Listing 429511 with VRBO, so I suggest that you might check these rates and see if they were what you were charged by your tour guide. I understand you had extras such as a private, live in Chef, which would definitely be “pricey”, and for which I received no benefit. I am sorry that this happened to you and to me, if I am correct in assuming that you were charged rates using my home and benefitting the tour operator. If there is a next time, please check my rates privately before booking with any additional operator. Please also call me to clarify any questions. The level of secrecy demanded by your tour guide included not letting me know who was staying in my home. This was insulting and made communication difficult. Perfect getaway anytime of year
Nine people in our bridge group stayed there and we loved it. The property is spacious and overlooks a forest and hills in the distance. It's a very complete kitchen too, which is great for our group that tends to fix gourmet meals whenever we travel. The house felt opulent and yet every bed was separated by a door from the main part of the house so that everyone could fall asleep when they were ready. The hot tub was completely private. The property is also the last house on a street, with undeveloped land to the west and north. The owner came by when we checked in and was very nice. NOTE: If you cook, use the fan in the kitchen! We learned the hard way on Saturday morning what happened when you don't follow that advice.

Outstanding home for exploring South Central Oregon
This log home in Shady Cove, Oregon is spectacular! The house is relatively new and modern, very spacious, with high-end kitchen appliances (for those who love to cook). It is not just a house, but the owner maintains it for renters as a "home" with beautiful and very comfortable furnishings. The three main bedrooms all have their own bathrooms (complete with showers & tubs), and there's an extra small room upstairs that is suitable for small children. Great entertainment areas are both upstairs and downstairs. While the inside is fabulous, what's just as special is the huge deck on the backside of the house that runs the length, with sweeping views of the forest and mountains (just like the photo). At one end is a very upscale hot tub, at the other end is a top notch grilling set-up, and in the middle are many chairs and a couch and lounge chairs -- almost like another big room but outside! What's ideal about this location is the central proximity to key attractions including Crater Lake (about 1 hour away) and several nearby beautiful lakes and waterfalls, and about 45 minutes to Grants Pass for the Rogue River jet boat experience as well as the same to Ashland for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (not to mention numerous wonderful wineries). We've been renting VRBOs for our vacations for several years, and this is definitely one of the best! The owner took great interest to ensure our stay was as perfect as possible.

Terrific House!!
Very nice house for a family reunion. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Lovely deck with lounge chairs, table, grill, refrigerator, hot tub. Highly recommend this house if you are vacationing in the area.
